Yep, that makes perfect sense. And to be fair, I placed my order before the $1K price hike, so I cannot complain if I do not get the Ryzen chip or the new 12V battery.

Who else has experienced the "TBD" phenomenon before? Is it a positive, negative, or ambiguous sign for an impending delivery date?

Not sure if it's positive or negative. Happened to me too going from March 9-31 to TBD yesterday.

Got a pretty good offer for my car from carmax but the closest location is almost 50 miles away. Guess I will stick with Tesla. Especially since they say the offer can change based on their on site inspection.

Did you try carvana.com? In my case Carvana's offer is higher than Carmax's offer

Their offer was lower than Tesla trade in.

Absolutely, I would love to hear feedback from real user and know the competition better. Though, I am going to stick with M3LR order anyway as an overall package value.

I did a trade in estimate with Tesla, CarMax, caravana, and Vroom. Vroom beat them all by a few thousand dollars.

Not yet, received VIN today, so expecting a call tomorrow. But yes, EDD was updated to 1/10-1/15.

Follow up to this, got a text asking if I wanted delivery today (1/10), haven't responded. Delivery date on the website is set to 1/11.

Reached out to the Fremont location to see if I could get information about the MCU, but the advisor wasn't able to pull the information and forwarded the request to the delivery team. Build date of vehicle is 1/9/2022. Hoping to get information about the MCU prior to accepting any sort of delivery, and hopefully will be a good data point for all of us to see if January vehicles have the updates.

Nope not yet, still with the same window I had after missing the end of the year window.

Curious, does it matter which pickup location (Bay Area locations) you choose in terms of delivery timing?
