Mines been gone for a while. Its sad seeing everyone else say their dates have been updated. I contacted the online people and they said my account shows 2-5 weeks still even though my old time that was on my account was less... I ordered 10/20...

At this point I don't even think the dates are accurate... mine just keeps updating with today's date.

As expected, my trade-in offer expired and I was asked to submit current mileage. At the moment everything looks as if I just placed the order (kind a scary). Hopefully everything will go back to “normal” once they come back withe the new offer.

My SA is super nice but I will admit I wonder why there’s so much difference in terms of what the SA’s allegedly can see.

My estimated delivery keeps adjusting with today’s date to 11/30. I asked my SA and one of the others at the same location and I was told that they can’t really see anything until a VIN is assigned to me, which it hasn’t been. Nor have I gotten a text with an estimate.

They told me I may be getting lucky as they thing a LR or two are coming their way but one for the show room was already taken off the list. They said they’re telling everyone “expect the end of December but maybe you’ll get lucky”.

If I wasn’t such a fan of the car and the overall direction of Tesla I’d have to say I’d likely be pretty unhappy with the overall lack of communication and lack of useful information. That said, when I saw how popular the refresh was I kind of just assumed late December anyway so. Meh.

My trade in expired and I resubmitted with new mileage (no change) and I got quoted $2500 lower then the original quote.

Does anyone know if we can argue the original quoted trade in value?

I have emailed my SA, so just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

That would be between today and today...pretty sure that’s not going to happen !

I had my trade in offer expire yesterday and I worry about receiving a lower quote like what you've reported. Feels like a bait and switch on Tesla's part. Why make an offer while knowing delivery isn't going to occur during said offer's 'life span"?

I have that question out to my rep. I've driven approximately 972 miles since my order was placed on 10/16.

Hi all,
Just rang Telstra and got my delivery date, 15/12. Really happy as I confirmed my order through the lease company on 12/11
I think I got lucky with end of quarter and by ordering a totally standard car. Three weeks to wait now :-D
Based on yo

Just in case, I ran that KBB cash offer option and it came back $1500 higher than Tesla’s original offer. Not sure if that works but I guess I will explore it further in case low-ball second offer from Tesla.

I'm seeing reports in a FB Model 3 group where this has happened to others. According to the post, Tesla is saying the new quote is set in stone, no reverting back to the original. I haven't heard back from my rep but it appears I may be seeking alternate avenues when I have a firm delivery date. Quite disappointing.

My estimated delivery just updated to 11/23 - 12/5. It was 12/5 - 12/31 since I placed the order in late October. I know this is meaningless, especially since I received a text from my delivery center last week saying 6 weeks, but just to throw more info out there.
That’s the weird part, there was no extra mileage since the last quote, as I didn’t even drive my car. I just don’t get how they can just reduce my trade in value as it is getting close to my delivery date.

This is not a good first impression, and push come to shove I might even just cancel my delivery.
Here's another crazy thing about Tesla's trade value. Back in March of this year I contemplated trading my 3 to a Y. 7 months and about 8000 miles later, the trade quote is only $100 less than the quote I received in March.

How long does Tesla honor the trade in? I placed my order on the 15th and they dragged their feed (and still are) getting my payoff quote so its taking a bit. Send my SA a letter as requested with my amount so hoping it reflects today.

Another weird thing about this trade-in option with Tesla is that, throughout the year, I requested quote twice (around 3 months apart) and in both cases came back the same. When I finally decided to place an order and go with the trade-in the number again came back exactly the same. It will be interesting to see what they are going to do this time around

I got a quote for 8500 for my trade in, went the next day to place an order in person with a Owner Specialist. Payed the $100 and was told to finish my account, uploaded photos and mileage. Next day, they emailed me saying your trade in is finalized with a quote of 4500 lol.. My car had no cosmetic damage nor has it been in an accident. The correct mileage was shown in the picture, called in and my OS said someone in the department "fat fingered" the numbers and they can't honor the original quote, got frustrated and cancelled my order. Spent couple of weeks calling and talking to the supervisor, just for them to give me the runaround - "We're waiting for them to reply". Finally got a reply, saying they denied my request for the $100 refund but they'll put in a second request. Ended up selling the car privately (I know, I shouldn't have cancelled my order, I just thought I wasn't going to purchase the car anymore). Placed a new order couple weeks after, get a call from the supervisor the same day asking if it was by mistake. I told them the situation and guess what.. "in that case, we can probably give you store credit if the refund doesn't go through. Two days later, get a call back and the refund was approved. I guess it only mattered since I place another order. Don't count on their trade in value to be accurate, well in my case. It's better off selling the car privately than to deal with their trade in process.

Received call from company that deals “a lot” with Tesla buyers who are looking to get more than Tesla offer for their trade-ins. They offered $1600 more. I am in Denver area if someone would like their info. They got in touch with me after I submitted KBB cash offer request.

Finally got a response from an Operations Advisor (seems like my sales associate passed the buck to them) and they said they can't see/do anything unless a VIN# is assigned. FWIW - my estimated delivery date has continually been changing. Today it's: 11/23 - 11/25 vs 11/20 - 11/25 last week.
