Is NY running near the early end of their delivery range?

This is kind of important because I need to take delivery by 11-18 to save $2k in sales tax.
@tm3lrawd Summed it up. The first EDD is usually accurate, but don't expect any sort of precision because they are just estimates. Tesla does their best to look into their crystal ball of supply, demand and logistics to figure out when they think they'll be able to get a car to you, but there are things that Tesla cannot predict, and sometimes just crazy things happen. There was the whole "charge port" fiasco a while back where cars were delivered without an essential part, and people's cars just sat in parking lots for weeks as they waited for that part. Other people sometimes see a VIN out of the blue well in advance of their EDD because somebody else couldn't take delivery of their vehicle. Tesla will then look for someone nearby who ordered the same vehicle and offer it to them.
Has excluding the mobile charger from the sale and making it an accessory at an additional cost be discussed anywhere?
It definitely got discussed. Here's a thread devoted to it.

Tesla has officially removed the mobile connector as a standard accessory with every new car purchase; now a $400 separate purchase

We talked about it here, with somebody spotting the change in the wording in the store pages before anything was announced. They removed "Included in all Tesla vehicles" or some such text. I thought they were being paranoid. Silly me.

The summary of the reaction was... negative.

How do you find out the exact dates for EDD? Mine on the app shows "September - December", and EDD has moved once - as it was originally "August - October".

------------------------------------------

M3LR, White/Black, 19" Sport Wheels and No FSD

OD is 5/19, original EDD was August-October, then changed on 6/1 to EDD of September-December.

Been back and forth on the 19" wheels vs 18" aeros. Would have chosen the 18" Aeros, but the EDD at that time was 2 months longer. May just sell the 19" Sport Wheels, and get some TSW or ADV1 19" wheels with 245/40/19 with a 5/10MM spacer on front and 10/15MM rear.

Original EDD was month ranges for me as well, at some point it will update to a one month window with actual dates. Wherever you see "September - December" will be the same place the new dates show up.

For anyone posting updated EDD’s, can you also post your ODD as well?
Here is some information to help with getting order information organized, along with some other helpful stuff.

Click on a 'spoiler' to see the details of that section.

If you cannot see people's forum signatures, be sure that the "Show people's signatures with their messages" option in your profile Preferences is checked. If you watch the forum on your phone, you may also have to look at the forum in landscape (wide mode).

To access your preferences, click on your name at the top of the screen, then click on the figure with the gear, then click on "Preferences".
To access your signature, click on your name at the top of the screen, then click on the figure with the gear, then click on "Signature".

You may not have access to some or all of these options until you have enough posts in the forums. The requirement appears to be around five.

There are plenty of examples of how people have formatted their information, so feel free to use somebody else's format or to invent your own. Any information that you provide will help avoid people repeatedly asking for it (and the answer immediately getting lost in the flow of posts here). We tend to use the available information to try to spot trends, to set expectations for newer arrivals - and to commiserate with the folks who have been waiting the longest.
This is a central repository of volunteered information that people use to get a sense of current orders as well as the history of ordering Model 3s.

Wiki - Model 3 Order Tracking Spreadsheet

Common terms

SA = Service Advisor. This is your contact with Tesla until you've taken delivery of your vehicle.
EDD = Estimated Delivery Date. It is important to understand that this is only an approximation, not a exact prediction.
FSD = Full Self Driving. This is an optional feature of the vehicle.
VIN = Vehicle Identification Number. This is a unique identification number found on all Tesla vehicles.

Ordering FAQ

1. You have an SA, even if you ordered online. Just reply to the text you got when you ordered (Welcome to the Tesla family....).
2. SAs exist to help with the order and delivery process. They won't tell you anything more than you can learn from the Tesla app.
3. Your first EDD is likely the most accurate. Frequent updates or a lack of updates are no indication of progress on your order.
4. If you make it into an EDD without a VIN, you'll get a new EDD on the second day of the current EDD.
5. EDDs occasionally jump out by months. These are glitches that usually correct within a week.
6. VINs can come at any time. EDDs are refreshed twice a day (but yours may not change for long periods of time).
7. A text asking about a trade-in of your current vehicle is not indicative of progress on your order.
8. Expect to wait 100+ days for your car. There was a huge surge in order volume starting in March due to gas prices.
9. East coast deliveries happen in the first two months of a quarter. West coast happens throughout, but can greatly increase at the end of a quarter.
10. Occasionally, vehicles are delivered much earlier than expected because another person cancelled their order or refused the vehicle.
11. Orders with FSD do not currently receive priority.
12. There are two headlight types; premium and matrix. There is currently no guarantee as to which will be installed on any given vehicle.
13. Ryzen chips, double pane front glass, and lithium ion 12V batteries are standard on all vehicles.

EDDs: Forgot the original EDD, should be somewhere around June, was pulled to May delivery in April but shortly after that it changed back to Jun-July. Being 6/19-7/20 for a while and then 7/9-8/6 for a month. I was hoping to receive my VIN during this week, but yesterday afternoon it was pushed to 7/30-8/27... T.T

I'll post this again since it seems to get buried... TESLA does maintenance and slows down lines in the first month of a quarter. We are in that month right now. A few orders may squeek thru but if you are on the schedule ( March-May) for a car this quarter you will likely NOT be getting a car until August or September. This can always change but you should plan at that time frame at this moment. If the lines are shut for maintenance nothing will speed up your order.

Is there a primer somewhere on the various generations of charging devices?

I was looking at youtube videos of wall installations and recent vids were installing both 2 gen and 3 gen?

Also, on shop.tesla.com 220 adapters are listed as gen 2.

The 14-50 is the 'typical' 220/240, right?

Thanks

So the mobile charger is level 1. Regardless of the circuit plugged I think the max charge is about 35kwh. The wall charger is level 2. Level 3 is not available to home installation. There are more detailed explanations available if someone can dig them up. I also apologize if I made a mistake in the charging capacity I just quoted but that is my understanding
