Today’s my delivery day! I take delivery an hour after the delivery center opens, which is, about 3.5 hours from now. My deposit (input yesterday) is still in my bank account but is acknowledged on the Tesla website. The Tesla app has not suddenly granted my access to the vehicle yet. So far everything looks like it did yesterday. My assumption is/has been that they update the app to allow you to access your vehicle once it is staged to be picked up which is probably an hour before you get it.

Just thought I’d share in case it helps alleviate someone else’s concerns that something might be wrong or all that jazz. Will update with delivery experience/build quality/checklist results once the deed is done, or I’ll vent if they tell me they can’t deliver for whatever reason.

Join the club! I ordered June 5th and, as just about everybody else here, have been through delivery date shuffle ever since! Yesterday, my EDD was June 27-30 and this morning it’s moved to June 28-30… my guess is yours most likely did the same.
Mine also moved to 6/28-30 this morning! No VIN yet. Hoping we get ours Monday!

Good point. For me, through USAA, their instructions were just to make sure they had the dealer request form for my loan (they do, I sent it to like 4 people to make sure someone has it). My deposit went via PLAID ACH and my loan will go through that form and I suppose whatever they do to get funded.
 
I received a text about home delivery on Monday. Not going to happen. I have a long driveway with a locked gate at the end of it. I specified dealer pick up from the beginning. Hopefully this doesn’t cause issues with the process.

My app didn't work until the next morning when it was marked delivered in my account. It was in the preparing to be delivered stage until then even when I had the car in my driveway. I just had to use the key card for the first day. The withdrawal from my account didn't happen until the day after I got the car. I chose to use plaid to pay the full amount in cash, which I did before I was texted to schedule delivery.
 
Got the "Schedule Delivery" text (no email) at 8am PST sharp today, 6/26! About 18 hours after getting VIN.

"Tesla Update - we currently expect your Model 3 to be built today or tomorrow. Select your delivery appointment now at (link provided) for your touchless delivery."

Selected Monday 6/28 at Costa Mesa, 83 days after order placed on 4/7. Home delivery was not given as an option.

Account now allowed me to purchase the Tesla Insurance and now shows the option to add bank account for "Final Payment". (<-- Shouldn't it be FIRST payment?! Final payment will be in 60 months! 😜 )

Incredible how everyone has a different sequence for finalizing the process. Mine was VIN > Pay Downpayment (Plaid) > Finalize Insurance > Schedule delivery.

Ok, I have been absent since my last post because I have been obsessed with my car since I got it 🥺
Had a little hiccup with delivery where my car was supposed to be delivered to La Jolla, but they ended up bringing it to a different address (25mi away). They called and I was SO EXCITED only to find out how far away they were lol. So, they drove it to me in La Jolla and we did the walkthrough. My trunk is definitely misaligned, where there’s a larger gap on the left side and it’s tighter on the right… he told me to put in a service request and they will take care of it. I have never driven one before, but I have to say when I gave it a good go on the acceleration, all the wait was worth it 😭 She’s so beautiful 😭

Was the trunk alignment the only real issue you found? That doesn't seem like a huge deal, congrats!

Yeah my checklist has a “Verify Post-Delivery Vehicle Records” step that says to ask the delivery specialist to make sure the car is marked as “Delivered” in Tesla’s network. It also says to make sure you have paper copies of all paperwork in case there is an issue with the digital copies. It’s a 5 page checklist, I can’t remember where I got it but I highly recommend everyone get one before delivery!

I’ve joined the “creep one day ahead” gang now. Sat on June 27-30 for a few days. Now it’s June 28-30.
I fear they’re giving me false hope for the Q2 rush and I’ll enter the abyss of July.

Yep. I have the same June 28-30 note. They must not have made the car yet because they are not offering me insurance yet. I think they need the VIN before they enable the insurance button. No VIN, no car :rolleyes: yet.

Here's the checklist I downloaded: Log in to Todoist I have it in my Todoist app. Which I think you have to download.
