Ordered yesterday and my EDD is now showing 7/29-8/18, not keeping a lot of faith it'll hold but excited nonetheless!

Ordered 7/6 (white/white, no other changes) to be in line with my state's new incentive program launch.
Today EDD went from the standard 7-11 weeks to July 23 - August 11th. Seems pretty fast, honestly.

I hope my trade-in value doesn’t go down too far when I resubmit it next week, I’ve put on about 3,000 additional miles since then.

If I were a betting man, I’d bet that the May orders who are seeing 7-11 weeks will soon receive a VIN and those later orders (e.g., June and later) will continue to fluctuate in purgatory with shifting EDDs for a while longer.

I hope that's true with the April orders as well like mine fluctuating back to 7-10 weeks most of the time, though I hesitate to bet on it.

Same here, ordered April 2, now back to 7 - 10 weeks, but July 15 to 27 did show a few days ago so there is some hope.

Just got my VIN. Logged in a few times today and had 7-11 still but then saw vision notice and boom, there's a VIN. Estimated delivery 7/18-7/24

Timeline was:

May 25th - Order
Mid-June - placed on hold
June 29 -taken off hold, delivery date 7-11 weeks
Some time last week - EDD July 16-Aug1
3 days ago - 7-11 weeks
Today - VIN

I initiated the hold. The rep said it would be treated as "unavailable for assignment." He had it set to expire in Mid-July but there was a big "I'm ready" button in my account that I took great pleasure in clicking, once I was in fact ready.

it seems like the EDD usually updates at night/early morning but the vin can definitely be assigned during the day.

I’ve heard that you can get the 7-11 weeks right before you get a vin. I’m in that boat right and since it did that for you, there’s some hope.

I think for some reason Tesla is still making people accept that the car does not come with radar and relies solely on cameras for everything. Even though this switched a couple of months ago.
