So they are waiting this long for a plug in hybrid Hyundai Santa Fe?When I was cross shopping Hyundai EVs, the dealer in Austin told me they only had 4-5 total cars in inventory TOTAL. I clarified and he said all models. No EVs. 4-6 month wait. This was in Austin early March.
Yikes. That really does suck and I'm sorry to hear that. Not a good update for me today.
EDD: June 1st - July 3
New EDD as of today Aug 12th - Sep 23rd
Yep, this sucks.
So true!Jeeps. Motorcycles. I'll add convertibles. The pattern that I see is that the vehicle is usually open. Waving through glass just doesn't seem to be a thing. I pass other Teslas all the time with the intent of a wave or a smile. They don't even see me. They're not looking. Teslas aren't 'participatory' vehicles like Jeeps, motorcycles and convertibles. They're not open and airy, connected to the world around them. They are traveling bubbles where we're told to keep the bubble closed for aerodynamic reasons.
I really miss driving around with the windows down or even the top down. There's no comparison between driving in an open and closed vehicle. In a closed vehicle, you focus on your own little world.
I've only once had the date moved up and it lasted maybe a week? Then it was pushed out a month and has been going the wrong direction ever since. Multiple 2 week windows as well. My SA is useless. I said I'm willing to consider all options if they become available and I don't even get a response other than "there is no delay, fluctuation is normal and depends on a bunch of variables." We obviously have very different definitions of delays. So I have some questions for all my veteran multiple EDD’ers. I know a lot to you have excess of 5 or more EDD updates and I am curious how drastic have some of the updates been? both pushbacks and back to the original EDD or better(faster?? I am on my third EDD and I am curious has anyone seen it get pushed back this far then possible goes back to original EDD? My other question is it worth calling a SA to see if there’s any other options close to mine for faster pickup??
EDD#1 from OD 3/10 was May.

Nah, he is one of those guys that thinks I’m nuts to buy an EV. I’m not really sure what is so special about the one he ordered but I know it was some great deal or something. So they are waiting this long for a plug in hybrid Hyundai Santa Fe?
Great deal saving money with not having a car for 5 months haha.Nah, he is one of those guys that thinks I’m nuts to buy an EV. I’m not really sure what is so special about the one he ordered but I know it was some great deal or something.
it's honestly a gamble. It will go either way, however, I am very curious myself as I considered doing this yesterday too. Keep us posted if you get another EDD change with the wheel swap. If it helps, I might make the change as wellI just changed to the 19's, did I make a wrong decision? SA said I could get the car a couple of months quicker, but not sure it's worth it now that I am thinking it out.
Help me out here

Sure, but the person just ordered a normal Hyundai Santa Fe. I don't think there is any reason to wait 5 months for a Hyundai Santa Fe.When I was cross shopping Hyundai EVs, the dealer in Austin told me they only had 4-5 total cars in inventory TOTAL. I clarified and he said all models. No EVs. 4-6 month wait. This was in Austin early March.
lol, that won't bother me as much since I am going to swap out the 18's for aftermarket 19's anyways, so I'm fully prepared... however I'm sure I'll want the 18's during the winter time to get as much range as possible in the cold.will do. im actually second guessing the performance hit more than the money lol
I have a pickup in SLC also. EDD is 4/28-5/26. Gives me hope.No updates for me still, my EDD is holding at 4/23-5/21. OD was 2/18, pick up in SLC
I have the same EDD as you. Pick up in Vancouver. Lets seeI have a pickup in SLC also. EDD is 4/28-5/26. Gives me hope.
I am in SLC and have an EDD of 4/28-5/26. Gives me hope. OD 2/16. Red, white interior, aero wheels, FSD.No updates for me still, my EDD is holding at 4/23-5/21. OD was 2/18, pick up in SLC
Well, to be fair, this guy is a bit nutty about getting a particular vehicle. We live up here in the Hudson Valley and he went all the way to Suffolk out on Long Island to get a Mazda with the EXACT options he wanted. Sooooo, yeah.Sure, but the person just ordered a normal Hyundai Santa Fe. I don't think there is any reason to wait 5 months for a Hyundai Santa Fe.
When I ordered my Rav4 last October they were assigning half-assembled vehicles to buyers. Not everything, and sometimes they advertise a car that is in transit as well.
