Model 3 New Pricing, up $400

So everything went up but LR RWD went down? I should have written down what it was priced at when I started looking in March. I forget.

I understand.. but in the end it doesn’t matter.

Ship is sailed. All that matters now is you get on this boat, or the next boat.

Some people strangely never get on because no boat is good enough and cheap enough.

The 3SR was the hotness last week, the 3LRD is the hotness this week.

IMO respectfully disagree. Before yesterday, the on-menu LR AWD was a better deal than the off-menu LR RWD (only $2K for for AWD that's a deal). As of yesterday, if you don't need AWD, the LR RWD became the better deal ($4K less) and I jumped on it today.

I thought it was only about $1000. When they re-shuffled and dropped the RWD, the AWD and Performance had gone down about byy the cost of AP (assuming optional paint colors). I quit considering a RWD, whereas that is what I had been planning on. Of course, I ended up ordering a Performance. But had the pricing been what it is now, I likely woudl have stuck with the LR RWD.

I ordered a SR+ at prior price $39500, still thinking long and hard if I should switch to LR RWD. My commute is 56 miles round trip in LA Traffic so I wanted to have AP. I already have a previous mounted wall charger so home charging isn’t a concern. I know longer range is always a plus but my initial justification to switching back to EV was that my current vehicle’s MPG was about 18mpg at 91 octane. I wanted a net gain of prior payment plus about $300 in gas monthly, if I switch to LR, my payments plus electronic is going to be a wash. (Sorry just ranting lol)

The LR RWD gives you a lot more car for an extra $6,400. On resale you’ll get at least half of it back. If you can make it work I would definitely switch to the LR RWD before Elon raises the price on it.

I tried calling my advisor but they are unwilling to help switching my SR+ white/white,19" to the LR RWD same config. Anyone knows best way to change it to get this new pricing?

You will need to cancel your order and place a new one. The LR RWD requires a salesperson to enter the order but you don’t have to use the same salesperson. You can always call inside sales and have anyone that answers the phone take your order. Or just call a different store.

I called up and modified my order to the LR RWD w/ AP but got the old pricing! $48500 instead of $46900 (in blue). Placed original order on 5-12. The sales rep had to check with her manager that AP was now included and got confirmation, but the pricing still got screwed up. Tesla.

Almost no one regrets going for the higher trim.

Especially one that gets you all the software features, more performance, more range.

I would have regretted the 35K Model 3 purchase I made last month if it was our only Model 3.

35K is so cheap but you get so much more with the 3LR package.

Value is what you get, not what you pay.

Boom! Ordered LR RWD (black ext, white int, 18”) last night, so pumped! Price was $46,900 (white int) including AP.

I just ended up going through inside sales since they seem to be the most knowledgeable about price changes. I sent the specialist my friend’s referral code, and he ordered the AWD through it for me and immediately sent in the request to switch it to RWD. The change came through on my account about 2 hours later. Really easy, highly recommend just doing that.

If you want AP then yes. If you don’t want AP, then everything went up and LR RWD went up even more. The thing is, people think they don’t want AP, but they do, they just don’t know it yet.

Yeah, that was the case for me. I ordered without AP, but it became included while I was waiting, so I got it. I'm still not one of the folks who swears by it or uses it for 90% of their driving or whatever. But I'm glad I got it. :)

Your calculations of slightly off.
2018 LR RWD 49k + 1k ( color) + premium upgrade 5k no EAP is 55k - 7,500k. Right?

2019 is a better deal.

No math was correct. Didn't account the cosmetic price differences as they are personal tastes. 2018 LR RWD was 35k + mandatory 9k LR battery upgrade + mandatory $5k PUP making it 49k. EAP was $5k. Regardless, the 2019 is clearly a much better deal. Both the SR and LR RWD are 2 of Tesla's best kept secrets at this time.

I just ordered mine:
LR RWD = $45,900 (with autopilot)
White = $1500
Black premium interior
Aero wheels

Stomach still in knots. My current cars are only 12 and 13 years old, a few more years left in each, but the EV swan song prevailed could not resist.

UPDATE: The above deal was over the phone. When I got my actual sales sheet, the price was $400 less :) :) :).

Previously $47,500. At least that's what I paid last Thursday.
Waiting to hear back from my sales rep to see if they can adjust my price, or if I'll have to cancel and re-order.
I ordered LR RWD Friday with the additional $3000 for auto pilot. My inside sales person just replied that I would have to cancel and reorder to take advantage of the $1600 savings.
