I have that same big gap on the right of the lower door. Any way to adjust?
i have the same issue. It’s more noticeable with the white.

Took delivery on 3/18 after vin on 3/13 and phone call on 3/14.
"Touchless Delivery" is the new thing, where the paperwork is already in the car, you sign it and shove it in a mailslot.

Struggling a bit with the little quality things I found once I got home under garage lights.
Having bought cars from Audi/Porsche/Ford/Subaru, these are not things I've seen before on a brand new car.

Scratch on the side of the rear bumper
Driver side window sill chrome is spotted on both doors...like it was a bad batch or corrosive residue. Looks like permanent water spots.
Front recessed plastic grill has some staining, and is "wavy", like it's only kind of attached to the front bumper.
Side mirror assemblies have some material that looks like steel wool coming out the top, like some material leaked out during installation
Weatherstripping on passenger side windshield is peeling up
oh..and found a random bolt on the backseat floor.

Scheduled a mobile service, we'll see what happens.

I know I'm picky and I really like the car, but cmon it's $42K and I didn't buy it on Kickstarter.
I patiently waited almost three years for all this business to all get worked out, so my excitement is a little dampened.
Figuring out if I can let it go if none of this is addressed.

.

After some initial disappointment, I'm all good.

The world changed pretty dramatically in my area between order and delivery.
An afternoon in the sun reminded me that this car is a pleasure to drive, and I really like it.
It lessened my worries about a few cosmetic issues, and reminded me they are first world problems.

I'm sure the folks on the assembly line have had a hard time the past couple of weeks themselves.

I went to a service center today, and the customer service attitude was "Yep, let's fix things."
Some things are fixed, some I've just decided to be okay with, but the customer service was great.

I ordered a model 3 on March 13 and at the time it told me 2-3 weeks for delivery. It seems like the factory is shutting down for the foreseeable future as of today but I wanted to try and get my car ASAP. As of today I still have no vin on my car webpage and it’s not Hidden in the source code, so I feel pretty pessimistic that they got it done before the shutdown.

I found the exact same build in a fleet vehicle across the country and would be totally willing to buy it as it only has a few hundred miles on it.

Does anybody know a number I could call to switch my order to this car? I submitted that generic form on the Tesla website but haven’t heard back from them. I’m assuming they would be willing to switch it out for me since they probably want to get as many cars delivered before the end of the quarter.

Also, for anyone who has ordered a car from across the country how long did the delivery process take? Was it a hassle at all?

I switched cars twice because of delays and ended up getting a spotless car that was produced a few days earlier. I just called my sales specialist and he did everything on the phone. I found the car I wanted the night before, called my specialist as soon as they opened the store and picked up my new M3 in Fremont that same afternoon. I also tried the "call back" option but they usually call several hours later.

BTW the specialist took care of removing the older order and transfer everything to the new car, including the $100 order fee. At this point I already had financing, trade-in offer, and had paid the remaining balance.

Phoenix arrived today via delivery to my home! Perfect transaction and no issues with vehicle from what I can tell. Model 3 Performance, Black/black and AWESOME@! Only Qs I have- does Model 3P with AutoPilot but NO FSD, does it have summon? Also Do I need to something to engage Track Mode? It's present but is a light gray and I cant press it? Thoughts

I tried switching to a pre-made vehicle but I never got a call back when I filled out the generic form online. I would recommend calling your agent as soon as you see one because those get taken pretty quickly and I imagine they'll be gone even faster with the factory shutdown.

I ordered from Atlanta, GA. The timeline for me was as follows:
Day 0: Ordered online (delivery estimate: 6-8 weeks)
Day 1: Received welcome text from Tesla
Day 14: Received delivery timing update text, 4-6 weeks ETA
Day 25: Received delivery timing update text, built in the next 2 weeks
Day 30: VIN appeared in source code
Day 35: Received in transit text and set my appointment
Day 45: Received a call from the delivery center asking if I could pick my car up today (2 days before my scheduled delivery)
Day 45: Picked up my Tesla!

I wouldn't say it was a hassle, but the quality of customer service during the 6.5 weeks was mixed at best, but I was one of the fortunate ones who didn't have any delays (and got it right before the mass quarantines started).

I think I got one of the last pre-COVID-19 shutdown cars. Absolute base SR, pearl white over black on Aeros. Ordered 3/12, VIN 3/22, delivery to SoCal on 3/26. Production is listed as March 2020 on the door sticker, and the original window sticker said SR+, so I wouldn't be surprised if I just happened to call dibs on a common enough configuration that was already in the pipeline.

Technically had the "touch free" 15-minute delivery experience in Carlsbad, but between last minute "detailing delays" and some finance reworking it was closer to an hour. I've got a inch-and-a-half gash on the passenger side top edge of the front bumper that was pretty poorly touched up with what I can only assume was white-out since it's already flaking off, along with the front windshield speaker grille that's bending up slightly right in front of the steering wheel. I'm a little concerned that the COVID-19 production situation might mean there are more oversights down the line, but otherwise there's not much else to complain about now. It's a nice car, I'm happy with it. Some pros and cons versus the i3 this replaced, but it's definitely a step up.

For those of you who are expecting a top-notch service and delivery experience, Tesla is a mixed bag. Ordering, financing, trade-ins, SC follow-ups are less than ideal. You have to stay on top of them.

The car, however, is so damn good I am willing to overlook some things and I'm sure as they build out the network, it'll get better.

Joined the 8-12 week club in Massachusetts, although less than a week later the time-to-order dropped to 4-8 weeks. White on white Performance.

Ordered 7/5/2020. Just the reservation number and no vin as of yet. I've waited for car orders before (BMW M3s) but this one is especially exciting! Getting the electrical situated at my house as soon as possible, just in case.

Welcome to the club! I ordered mine on June 14th. Still waiting, but then again I’m in the middle of the pacific. When I ordered, the estimates were at 4-6 weeks, now it’s up to 6-10 weeks
