07/28 Order (estimated delivery time 5-9 weeks)
08/20 Text "we are planning to deliver your model 3 soon, but you need to select blue submit button"
08/25 Text for 2-4 weeks
09/05 Logged into my account and found MVPA and a Vin. No text or call from SA.
09/07 Called local Tesla in Vienna, Virginia to see if any status was available. All they could offer was that car has not left the factory.

I thought with the push to have everything counted in this quarter that I would receive before 9/30. As of now I would guess it will be real close to that date if I'm getting it in September.

I'm located in Fairfax Virginia and ordered a LR AWD Red/white interior, 19 inch sport wheels and no FSD

I keep getting my delivery delayed. First the car was supposed to be in on the 8th and delivered on the 10th. Then it was moved to the 10th and was going to be shipped out that day for home delivery. Then I was told still coming in on the 10th but will be home delivered on the 12th. Now the latest update is it will be home delivered on the 15th.

its really hard to take a day off to accept the car when it keeps moving like this. they told me my car is in chicago. it has been in chicago for over a week now.

I get wild fires and storms are causing the delay.

Maybe it has stopped by for some deep-dish pizza.

I feel your pain, pal.

I got the "your new Tesla set to arrive at our delivery center earlier than previously expected!" Text ... original pick update was scheduled for Monday 9/14. I replied "YES" to "would you like to schedule an earlier pickup appointment".

For those that received the same text, how many days was it between receiving the text and picking up your Tesla? I'm trying to gauge it so I can plan work/ride/etc. accordingly. Thanks!! :)

I was scheduled to pickup my M3 tomorrow on Long Island and got a call confirming the date this morning. Then around lunch time I got a call again from the delivery center saying there was a delay in shipping of the vehicle and that my car wouldn't be arriving until Friday and that I can pick it up on Saturday. It's been a long wait thus far, so another 2 days is a drop in the bucket. But I fear those 2 days are going to feel like 2 weeks!

stephtacular -- Could you verify if Tesla added the Icon Labels to the interior "Open Door Button"? Supposedly they are labeling the Model Y but no one has confirmed if they are doing it with the 3.

I have seen that report too.

I took delivery today (9/9) of my Model 3 LR AWD.
It did not have the new button icons.
It did not have the electronic trunk lifts or the new headlights.

The delivery experience was good. They set up a "pop-up delivery center" in Sherman Oaks due to the high volume of Deliveries currently in SoCal. There were over 3 dozen vehicles waiting for pickup when I arrived.
I looked over the car very well and I could only find 2 small problems. A 1/4 inch scratch in the rear bumper that is almost unnoticeable. Also there was some black grease smeared on the headliner above the rear passenger side door. The delivery specialist told me this happens when the truck driver unloads the cars. She tried to clean it but told me it would be best to arrange a service appointment and get a new headliner.

I scheduled a service for these 2 issues.

That's my exact configuration also. I ordered 8/5 and am outside of Houston, TX. I have a VIN but am still waiting on a delivery date.

Interior doors are not labled.

I noticed the USB Ports are 1 C and 1 A port. I thought it came with 2 USB A's, so I ordered the wrong Jeda USB Hub :/
Also noticed it comes standard with a wireless charging mat. Didn't realize these were the 'new' upgrades on the M3 since June 2020

Thank you for responding.

Yes, there should be a: USB-A + USB-C in the front but I believe the wireless charger uses the USB-C port, which only leaves you with a single USB-A port. There should be 2 USB-C ports in the rear.

For the front, I bought the Navak USB Splitter for Tesla Model 3/Model Y, USB Power/Data Splitter from Amazon. This way I can use one port for Teslacam and the other port for whatever USB device I might use.

Enjoy your car..
