Don’t confuse alarm and sentry. There are/were not linked and are not the same type of event.

Your title says alarm which last time we had an app notification for and checked out the cause there was no associated sentry event.

Alarms are caused by tilt or internal ultrasonic detection in traditional car alarm sense and will cause an app notification but no sentry event (although an alarm event may also cause a sentry event).

A sentry event is/was camera based event (now also triggered by door handled iirc) which does/did not cause an app notification but would give in car on screen notification and often (but not always) result in a video recording.

You can easily (even automatically) turn sentry off but an alarm event will still be triggered unless also specifically disabled - a little more involved.

But way things work do change often in Tesla world so above may not be 100% current even if alarm and sentry being different still holds true.

If you have Sentry enabled, it would seem odd, or a massive overlook from Tesla if an alarm trigger event would not automatically cause a recording to be saved....
