Received my kit today. Came with foot sensor. Lots of Chinese labels. No instructions.
Seller had already email their very limited picture instruction sheet.
Box has a lot of hardware that was not shown in the website pics.

Got it from autoease.com for $599.00 shipped free. Took 6 days from order to delivery.

I hope to work on installing it over the July 4th weekend depending on Texas weather.

Is the autoease kit the same as Teslaoffer? Is the installation the same? Looking at getting the kit with foot sensor but Teslaoffer instructions are somewhat lacking.

$599 isn't bad at all. Is there a place that would do the installation for a reasonable price?

Tesla offer instructions are what I will follow to install it as the Autoease instructions are pretty sparse.
It appears to be the same kit but I have not seen the other kit to compare.
I just know it $50 less WITH the foot sensor.
The kit looks good. Nothing is in English though.
I have attached it.

Wow!! You weren’t kidding... that is crazy sparse!! I’m impressed at how little information they gave for such an involved project!

Good thing Teslaoffers and Tesla Raj have their videos and instructions available. Best of luck and enjoy the new trunk.

If app and touchscreen don't work, that's an error with the CAN wires connected.

If the trunk button doesn't work, that's a problem with your Y connector or the buttons connected. Or both could be caused by the control box.

Do the secondary buttons do anything? They should at least make the module beep.

Got a new control box overnighted from Hong Kong, and now everything works. Great customer service via WhatsApp. Otherwise Calibred Customs (based in Los Angeles) installed everything else correctly. Charged about 90% of the cost of the kit.

Took pics of the box contents. There are a few items that I have no idea what they are for.
Was not able to start the installation yet. Will attempt to get an answer from autoease for the extra parts.
Going to spend a little time looking at the M3 service manual before starting. I think I might be able to save a few connections if I know what harnesses are in the trunk already.

You shouldn't have to use your phone itself as you can just walk up and hit the button on the trunk. (if your phone works as a key.)

I think someone making a foot switch that triggered that button would be very easy and inexpensive.

Autoease box contents. Happy to take closeups if anyone needs them.
I have not had time to start install yet.
