I wish that picture had much higher resolution...

I have it in much higher resolution (taken using my iPhone 7). Seems like a bad idea to go posting such things and eating up bandwidth. What would you like to extract from it that you can't from all the other high res pictures posted by Electrek and such?

bad idea? never.
Really, I'm interested in the contents of the passenger window. Basically, I want to be able to guess what's under the cover, if different from the RCs.

The red one appears to be a little more advanced in that it does not have the round radar type dots on the rear bumper that the white one does.

You mean the ultrasonics?

They are still there I believe, I just think it's the picture quality.

They're definitely there, you can see the one on the rear of the wheel arch.

Yes, I'm fairly positive the only reason the bumper looks smooth is due to the intensity of the red and the compression of the image.

Proximity indicator...ie: there's a car to the right.

Does the current Model S and X show them on the outside? Or are they hidden under the bumper?

Yes the red car has the sensors, just zoom it, right on the wheel well. Model X has them very easy to see:

I believe all cars that have ultrasonics which would be behind plastic have them visible. So yes, they are visible on S/X

Tesla is able to put ultrasonics behind metal via Tesla reveals how it hides its ultrasonic sensors in a new patent application, but not plastic.

I'm worried about the lack of visible means to keep the windows clear of frost when it's -35 degrees C.

Do not know whether it is the settings onthe central screen, but the visibility of the display is really low under day light. Wanted to spot some of the graphics design and layout, but still in progress I think...

I don't understand. Clear of frost? What are you not seeing that would keep frost away?

I would think that one would have to be in the drivers seat to determine the visibility. Only the driver should care.

With a set of photos such as this.....There isn't going to have to be a reveal 3. I suppose this is a release candidate.

Did the RC of the model S end up being the actual production Model S?

The ONLY think I'm hating about these RC's are the seams. They are horrific. I know I've said it before, but they are just horrible.
