more than mine. I have delivery date and location. details of my PCP deal and nothing to pay. But on next steps tab it say

"We will reach out to you to schedule your delivery date. Delivery time frame is based on order date, profile submission, delivery location and vehicle configuration."

which is odd as I have a delivery time booked and confirmed. No VIN or Reg. On completed steps it does say

"The information below will be used to generate your final contract and your final payment amount. Changes after confirmation may affect your delivery date."

I'm selling my car tomorrow so hope its still on for the 8th. I've been told by several agents that its 100% going to be at he Trafford Centre.

I’ll try to call them

If you are paying cash, often nothing happens. You would call them about a week before delivery if there is no final payment request and then make payment. Relatively straightforward.

Hi , After waiting 8 months for news of my M3 RWD, I have now been requested to book a delivery slot (pick up from Dartford).
I have done this a week ago and this has been confirmed as 9/12/22, 16 days time.
However, I have still not been invoiced, asked to pay, had a reg number or VIN.

Is this normal ?? Or is a way or enquiring about what is happening? (Preferably by talking to a human).

Any advice, experience or info greatly received

I was initially scheduled for collection today but have managed to get delivery scheduled for Friday. Anyone collecting today? Last few days of waiting are painful Eager to know what type of quality control we need to do with this new batch.

I’m 7/12 delivery. Been told I’ll get Reg 1-2 weeks before and final invoice. It’s 2 weeks today, no developments as yet

I was Told last week Reg would be given 2-3 weeks before delivery, it's 2 weeks today mine gets delivered so just went on chat and they gave me it and she sent it in a text also (I'm hoping, I'm currently working on a wind farm in the hills of Scotland with zero phone signal so hoping as I head down the hill later today the text will come through).

I had my daily.convo with Tesla today, after playing a game of getting them to tell me what ship my car is on, they conceded it's not Cello which would have tied in with when I got the VIN. I went through the list that Mr M has on the daily report and none of them were confirmed as being the ship.

OK. Then I may be in the same boat as you. We just don't know which one!! My VIN dropped on 4/11 which matched with with the Cello departed, but I have not got a collection date. I was thinking that Tesla tend to be in contact when the ship gets to Suez. It wouldn't make sense that mine would be on the Safety as I had the VIN before it had even docked.

I guess I will know in a few hours when the Cello gets to Suez....

yep, just been on chat and asked for Reg No and final invoice, which they duly obliged. Text and emails followed immediately.

And the Invoice Monday

Mine had the same text as above and i was baffled also...

RWD is 208kw and 279bhp if you look at the 60kwh LFP - that’s accurate


Not sure what the 302 is referring to on the earlier insurance quote maybe the old SR is wrong in EV DB as the 0-60 was 5.2 from memory and that’s quoting 5.6

Mixing up 0-60 mph with 0-100 kmh

SR+ was quoted by Tesla as 5.3 to 60mph and 5.6 to 100kmh prior to a slight power increase by software in late 2019. Despite that change the figures were never officially revised from those original numbers until the LFP RWD Model 3 was announced.

So I am thinking with the Cello going to Tarragona before Southampton, then it is quite likely that it will get there after the Glovis Safety and that may be why some of us are still waiting for collection/delivery dates and some of our dates are quite late. What do you think @Danzr @M3UK ?

I'm not sure @Jon_UK - I think delivery would usually have been scheduled by now for both Cello and Safety - it's probably more likely related to the same reason RCC Europe and Carrera are not docking and the cascade of delays that will cause.

I wouldn't be surprised if Safety arrives before Cello though.

Back to insurance again.......for your info and worth a punt......yesterday I got a quote for comprehensive plus off Direct Line for £475. via their website. Today, i used the link sent in a tesla text, which took me to Direct Line. Same quote, but this time only £385.........£90 cheaper but the same company

I did, but have since spoken to them. They fully acknowledge the SR+ as the old car and the RWD as the new name and it would be covered 100%.

Theres something about the long wait, the uncertain information, the eventual delivery countdown that fires off every hunter gatherer instinct I have. Its not even like the car will be a big upgrade, its just replacing another nice company car. Even the Mrs is listening patiently to the occasional speech on the subject (which I kept to an absolute minimum since she has no interest in cars or hunting) and looked quizzically at me, as if to say this really isnt like you. I have to say I shall be relieved when the Tesla has come and the Lexus has gone back, and I can return to peaceful normality, as well as a little eco upgrade.

For now however I am celebrating digging a 50m trench to the garage, getting garage sockets and a Zappi, and then getting the firmware crash in the Zappi resolved. And really looking forward to being all electric....... One sleep left.
