I don't know if my thumbs are up to posting a lot of impressions, but hopefully we'll be able to post a short video of the test ride from inside the Model S.

Not to worry. This time of the year, any showers here are really passing ones and if anything, they'd cool it down for the evening event. The weather's actually been quite beautiful of late!

I spent many years as a meteorologist in the Air Force.
First, as others have said forecasts that far out are nearly useless.
Also, Weather.com tends to paint broad areas of rain where there shouldn't be. If you want a better idea of how the weather will be, check nws.noaa.gov a few days in advance.

Video of a test ride is online on twitter now!!! First of one leaving http://yfrog.com/f6fspz, and then inside the car. Unfortunately the quality is pretty bad and the sun's shining so you can't see outside at all: http://yfrog.com/mh2h7pz
They run through a slalom course which the passengers clearly like, and then they accelerate up to about 70mph. The car is very quiet.
Edit: The same guy is putting up pictures of before the test ride, and the colour and interior options. There are samples of the seat leather, of the "decor" - the banana leaf (false wood) and two alternatives, and some exterior paint samples.
