I think many of us are thinking along the same lines of a riff on what appears on the back of all the i-gadgets: "Designed by Apple in California Assembled in China"

Yes, that was my intent all along. Taking a dig at the fruit company that does the design here but not the assembly. Sorry, MitchL, ddenboer, Trnsl8r and other employees of the big A! :)

FWIW, I went for something simple and readable on my Roadster (and matched the color to the car):

http://www.traffictalk.com/ provided a great service and good quality. I'm thinking about doing CF on the Model S as it will tie in with the spoiler and the diffuser.

Got my CA plates on hold at the DMV;
O FLATUS
Now what to put on the license plate frames where we all have more flexibility?
I'm thinking; "OPEC Can Kiss My Solarse" (I have solar panels.)
"My Other Car Suffers From Gas"
"My Wife's Car Suffers From Gas"
"My Other Car Has Gas"

I just bought the following plates in CA, and I'm looking forward to putting them on my S.

I'm an anesthesiologist, so it also refers to 2 things I use routinely, anesthetic gases and succinylcholine (nichnamed sux), which is an anesthetic drug.

Got me thinking that xxx 240V is a valid combination on the British system but none seem to be available :(

At least in Britain you get a chance for some clever vanity plates at all.
Here in Germany it depends on where you live as the first one to three letters denote the county, followed by one or two other letters (random, customizable) and one to four digits between 1 and 9999.

So some counties/cities offer the possibility for funny/usable combinations, like

S (Stuttgart) EX
BIT (Bitburg) CH
B (Berlin) MW

And if you happen to be lucky enough to live in the county of Traunstein in Bavaria, you can even get

TS LA

combined with numbers like 44, 56, 230 (Voltage in Germany) etc.

Then again, that's no use for me as I live at the opposite end of Bavaria...

And no chance at all for anything like WA TT or VO LT, just N (Nuremberg) RG

Here's one I came up with that I love, but it's not available in California. I may not be the first to think of this one, so apologies if it's already been in the thread.

S CAR GO

(get it? :))

EDIT: This one is probably best used on a Performance model.
