Model S dash vs Model X

My model X is in service. So I am driving a Model S 85 loaner (no offence to S owners here, but I prefer my X ).
To my surprise, since I had never gotten behind the wheel of a model S, I notice that the center gauge/dash is different than my X. Something like that:

Is that standard? Or is it the fact that my S loaner looks rather old, and maybe didn't get the latest software update?
I actually kinda like the fluid motion and large view between the regen and power modes.

Well technically all Model S (even AP1 cars) had that display prior to Software 7.0 in October 2015. Personally I miss it when I’m driving the car manually.

You can force this mode even on ap-enabled cars if you miss it too much. But like anything worthwhile in a Tesla, you need to break into your car first
