Also, Galangg, did your delivery specialist call you, or did you call him/her? We confirmed on June 30 and still have no news from the person we purchased from at Tesla. The only thing we know is "Late September".

Also, Galangg, did your delivery specialist call you, or did you call him/her? We confirmed on June 30 and still have no news from the person we purchased from at Tesla. The only thing we know is "Late September".

I've been in email contact with him a few times over the last week. I let him know that I noticed I had a VIN and he contacted me after that email to discuss a new delivery date.

Yes, personally, I ordered a production unit in December 2012. We couldn't confirm until February 2014, and even then, we didn't know if the FRT would be extended. If it hadn't been, a full spec Model S would have been 2.3 times more expensive, while a low end model would be something like 1.7X more. If you take delivery after April 2017, those prices would apply - unless they once again extend the FRT exemption. Believe it or not, FRT exemption (First Registration Tax exemption of electric vehicles in Hong Kong), has been in effect since 1992 (AFAIR) - and extended multiple times, usually in 5 year blocks though the latest one was only extended three years (April 2014 to April 2017).

Someone who lives close to me (Hong Kong) just ordered a Model S and was told January to February delivery. Mine, if the latest estimate holds true, it would have been December 2012 to September 2014 - 21 months of waiting!
