Ok now this is just killing me... Jan 8 and Jan 21... Has a vin, has a completion date and delivery date... And little ole me still nothing... I think I am emailing my sales rep to see if he can tell me what the holdup is...

grats on your car though.

just to make sure I am not missing something, the vin will appear on the dashboard underneath your confirmation number?
It replaces the confirmation number under Model S on the left hand side. I think you should definitely call your sales rep who should put you in touch with someone in the delivery area. My guy has the title: Delivery Experience Specialist.
Everyone is very patient on here and I try not to hassle my rep; however, he is always very prompt and willing to answer any question.

Mats.....I set them an email to notify when they came in. They emailed me back and said be in stock end of this week.

My DS confirmed they have the floor mats in stock in the Marietta showroom, so I will call them today and purchase them. I also found out from Hugh, the guy who replied to my online store email, that they won't have a version of the front trunk mat which fits the latest Model S builds (VIN > 21000), until early march. I'll probably throw down some towels or a blanket in the front cargo space to keep it protected until they product the new version of that mat.

Midlife - what are you thoughts about using the frunk much? So many of the posts are from people that have dented their hoods closing the frunk. I'm more than a bit worried about using it all that much. My situation is a bit different than yours though - all my kids are grown so I won't be needing the far back for munchkin rides.

Happy to throw in an opinion even though not addressed to me... I'm finding the frunk a little more ... annoying? inefficient? not sure the right word ... than the rear hatch because a) have to fumble for the fob in pocket with hands full
b) have to do the "careful shut" with both hands, one hand may still be filled
c) with the tech package, it's just a button-push at the hatch to open or close, and easy to do with hands full or empty, no fob-fumbling

However, the frunk is great to open up just to see people's faces when they think you're going to work on the engine in the grocery store parking lot

I shut mine with one hand all the time. I press flat handed, evenly, and gently but firm right above the latch. This is the way I have even closed ICE hoods all my life.

Wow, what are you planning to haul that the frunk needs that much protection? :) I wondered about these front trunk mats. I don't understand why the need to protect. I guess for groceries? Maybe having a container like the "Front Trunk Organizer box" they are advertising on accessories would protect the floor and be something you could carry things in too.

Delivery slipped

Well I can stop looking smug about everyone else's dates slipping. My DS just informed me that my February 21st date is looking like March 1st now, though my dashboard doesn't reflect this yet. Owing to the fact that I'm away until February 17th I had expedited everything including the payment to make sure that the delivery of the car would not be slowed down by anything in my control. Annoyingly it looks like I could have left the payment until I got back but I guess at least if there is any chance of the date improving everything else will be in place.

Yeah, that is what I thought, cool. Just making sure I wasn't going blind haha!

I got a response back that my sales guy is looking into it. So hopefully I will get something back soonish. I don't mind so much if the date gets moved, I just want to make sure I don't somehow fall through the cracks when others who have clearly ordered after me have already moved along farther than I have. Otherwise I try to be patient... March can't come soon enough.

Thanks Ugliest, I appreciate the real world experience.

Awesome news Midlife! You're that much closer to getting behind the wheel. Hopefully there won't be snow on the ground when you get your car. My son texted me today that he got sent home today from his job in Savannah due to the storm and that the company would be closed tomorrow. He went to GA from IL for that? What the what???
