Model S Order & Delivery Tracker - Q1 2014

i believe a 14-50 plug adapter comes as part of the standard charge cord kit, you don't need to order one separately

Up here the 14-30 receptacles are common for dryers. That's the one I ordered:

ASY,UA,250V1,030A,ADPTR,TMC001toUSN14-30 (1018243-00-B)1.00 47.79

I have dogs, too, one of which loves to go for rides, so I got the following massive seat cover for the 2nd row bench seat: Deluxe Quilted and Padded seat cover for Pets - One Size Fits All 56"Wx94"L Taupe . It will make my Model S look a little bit on the redneck side, but I will probably leave that thing in most of the time to protect the seats from all animals (pets, kids and passengers)!

Good idea on the tire repair kit and dryer adapter...I'll do some research on those things myself and may ask for some advice if there isn't an obvious choice for some of those things!

Thanks for the link. I'm going to get one of those too. My dog sheds so much and that will save a lot of vacuuming time. I couldn't care less about the redneck thing. Life is for living to the fullest and I can never figure out people who buy something nice and then barely us it, or refuse their dogs to be in it, to keep it pristine. At the same time, it bothers me when people trash the hell out of things. I say use it to the fullest but respect and protect it. My dog is my best buddy. How could I refuse if he looks me in the eye with that "I want to come too" look?

That also looks like a good tire repair kit you found too but after the exchange rate (boy our dollar has sunk!) I don't save much over the Tesla one.

My dashboard finally flipped to in production! And from the documents tesla sent I can see that I'm getting a 2014 S and not a 2013 I'd feared since my vin was issued in 2013 and contained 13 within it. Great news for resale incase an AWD comes out

Congrats. If an AWD comes out there might be a glut of second hand Model Ss on the market for those in more temperate zones.

So I emailed the SC on Monday to make sure the Friday was still in the works for delivery. SC emailed me back and said the car was getting ready for shipment, shouldn't be a problem and we'll keep you posted if anything changes.

I emailed the SC yesterday (Wednesday) to make sure that Friday's delivery date was still planned. The SC called me back to tell me that the truck my car is on broke down in Nebraska and that they're working on getting a new truck out there as soon as they can. The SC thinks the Friday is still "possible", but he was sure wasn't giving me a warm feeling that it would be happening. I mean really, who does this kind of stuff happen to?

I feel your pain but look on the bright side, you could have been told the truck slid off a cliff instead of broke down. Or, worse, that they found a spot on your liver. Then a broken down truck would seem so trivial. So, really, it's all a matter of perspective. ;)

Elon Musk was yesterday in Munich.

Here are som points, he said:
1: "All planned Supercharger in Germany are completed by the end of the summer!"
2: "Supercharger be brought to 135 kW during the year."
3: "Elon Musk wants to pick up some news for the upcoming dates in Amsterdam and Oslo."
4: "There will be a new leasing program."
5: "There are comparable lease rates are offered to German manufacturers. From 500, - EUR / month. "
6: "That was with the lease payments probably meant that they are comparable to 500, - € for a Nitro, if you count the cost of petrol, however"
7: "The gene-3 model is also free to invite to the Super Chargern?"
8: "To solve the" 32A charging problem "there should be a hardware change in the service centers from March. Takes less than 1 hour. "
9: "Software 6.0" soon "come and" contain many exciting features. "Sorry, no details. "
10: From Software 6.0, the user is able to adjust itself, the speed at which the landing gear is lowered to that height.
11: The "Autobahn update" will be available in about 3 months and it is only an adaptation of the chassis, which is a little firmer. An increase in top speed, it will not happen.
12: The CHAdeMO adapter will be available in about 3 months.
13: It is being developed a software developer's kit, which from 2015 3rd party applications can be developed for the S model.
14: Someone asks why the quality of the paint job is so bad and if this is improved: Elon hear about it for the first time.
15: Question after another Super Chargern in NL: Yes, it will definitely get more.
16: Someone asks why the service with 700, - EUR / year costs so much though but little maintenance is necessary. Answer: Yes, can be that this is too high. We will look into it.

production complete today: 2014-01-31

Assume it was ready before this but maybe this has something tomdo with european deliveries...

extremely much off topic in this thread! please change thread for topics not related to delivery tracker

I'm Production Complete...screenshot to follow tonight (afraid if I do it from work it will trigger a security audit):

Production Complete
Your Model S is being prepared for pickup or delivery.

I also heard from one of the service specialists at my pickup location (Marietta, GA) that the transport time to Atlanta can be 3-5 days (with 3-days happening if we get the truck with 2 drivers, who can swap out while the other rests). I don't know when it will get loaded on one of said trucks, but I am feeling relatively confident that my pick-up date of 11-Feb (11 days from now) won't be delayed (knock on wood, throwing salt over shoulder).

Holy (model) S - it is so close now! Praying the 60% chance of snow forecast for 8-Feb does not impact transportation or pickup day!

Also, I purchased floor mats (by phone) directly from my service center (pickup location) today, since they had them in stock and it saved me the shipping. Thinking a little bit about rear cup holders (those little leather strap things) rather than the new center console...does anyone else on this thread have a major preference of one over the other? Just want to know if I should pony up the $150 now to have them installed before I pick up, or wait a few months until I actually allow someone to bring a drink into the new car, which would then mean I'd have to take the car back to the service center for installation.

If the rear-facing seats have cup holders, I personally would wait. If the kids need to eat/drink something, I'd put them back there for now, and wait to see if you could use a center console.

Oddly, my car went in to production on January 29th. Completed production on January 29th, and then was "Pending for delivery" on the night of the 29th. I think the system forgot to update my car at some point :p Picked it up this morning at the factory!!

Whelp got this email back from my sales guy:
I am sorry I didn't get back to you! I talked to our team at HQ and they took care to make sure your Model S is still on track. I would guess that you will probably be getting more information towards the middle of this month. If you don't, just let me know and I will check in with your delivery specialist. I hope you have a great weekend!

Warmest Regards,
Marcus Schwab

The good news, I am still "on track" I assume that means for a late march delivery... the bad news, I still don't have a VIN... Maybe they just missed me in the website updating process? I guess I will continue hitting the refresh button multiple times a day :p
