What the trunk looks like is of little import when the headlights will be soooooo much better. Come on, Tesla. Let's get this official already. Body-colored trunk or black trim - don't care. Just make it official.

No, and I would never expect that given the likely different harnesses etc, but I'm hopeful a buyback goes through for my existing car so that the timing aligns.
I can see that - it’d add a little bit of balance for sure. Would like to see in other colors too

Is it just me of does it look like the strip is plastic rather than metal? The red colour doesn’t exactly match the metallic red on the trunk. Hmmm 
it’s a shade off or more so a slight variance in colour which is usually what we see from bumper to metal fenders.

So with black a lot easier to hide Color diff. As was with chrome prior version. This is not going to fair well I think…AFAIK the current bar is plastic. I would assume no difference on this part.
Fwiw it looked ok in person - didn't really stand out to my eyes as being "different". What would make the car perfect, updated tails/headlights and come Ambient lighting in the car ....not too much for ask in a 100K ride.
