Model X July Deliveries

I've posted this in the June thread but re-posting here. I received a very encouraging PM from another member of this forum with a similar configuration and VIN. Prompted by that I emailed my DS who told me my car was in production, and should be ready for delivery when I hoped (following a summer trip ending the first week in July). He actually stated that they may have the car at the SC by the end of this month. I'm still muting my anticipation, but this does seem to indicate production is significantly ramping up!
If production is ramping up I hope they aren't cutting any corners.

I just got a pleasant surprise checking mytesla too! Just learned that my car went down in price $7900 !!!! I couldn't be more elated right now!:):)

There were 2 subsequent price drops...the one you're seeing is old. Tesla dropped the price of the base and upgrades through a lower FX rate, which you probably screenshotted...a week later, there was another price drop only to the base price of the car which you're only noticing now :)

It's weird though, because I check mytesla religiously, although I know I shouldn't.

Still much happier with the price now that I see this one!

Based on the sort of evasive con job I am getting from my "Delivery Specialist," I get the impression that deliveries are based entirely on what sort of battery pack, seats, and options are added to the Model X you order, and the Reservation Number is at most a placebo to give you a sense that you will one day get a Model X delivery. There are now supposedly more than 20K Model X's that have been delivered. Has anyone with a Res # above 10K taken delivery of their Model X ?
Was what your reservation number?

@ohmman has been thoughtful enough for threads on March and April Delivery threads, so I will ask him to monitor June deliveries too to finish out Q2, but thought I would start the "2nd half" of "mid-2016" window for us poor slobs waiting on 5 seaters or other variants that were promised, at one point in Tesla Time for mid-2016. I sit here 4/25/16 with no VIN for a 90D 5 seater. Anyone else expecting their delivery July or further down the "ramp"? Chime in one and all...
I am also stuck waiting for a 5 seater. My Reservation number was around 8300. More than 20K Model X's have been delivered. Tesla has provided no integrity to its waiting list, merely a system of smoke and mirrors skewed against production of the 5 seat version.

Reservation numbers are irrelevant now. They originally determined the order that you were given access to the design studio. At this point, the largest factor seems to be confirmation date (not VIN number, when the VIN was assigned, or even the highest optioned cars anymore - with the exception that 5 seater and coils are still backburnered).

As for 20k cars - no way. VINs are assigned sequentially, and the highest one I've seen is just shy of 12k. Maybe you confused 20k+ reservations with 20k+ deliveries. I would guess we're currently at 6-8k deliveries (VINs as high as 8 or 9k have been delivered, but there are lots of gaps in the 5-7k range that haven't been delivered, and some poor souls in the 1-4K range still waiting).
