Took delivery today of our 75D Model X! Loving it. 60 days total from order to delivery. Took delivery in Portland, Oregon. DS said they have been very busy. Over 20 deliveries today.

Model X Hostage Crisis - Day 6

When our DS called us on Monday to notify us our X was built and ready for transport, she also informed us that Tesla now requires us to pay for the car, before it would be transported from the factory (what happened with our first Model S in early 2013, but not for our S 100D last year).

So, as soon as we got the paperwork and were able to send them the funds, we did it - on Tuesday. So they've had our money - removed our S P85 from our Tesla Account and smartphone app.

And, as of the last status check yesterday, the X is still sitting at the factory...

If they are going to require us to pay for the car before transport - they should be ready to actually transport the car once they have our money...

Who have you spoken to about this so far? Is there no one escalating for you? Hopefully it's already in transit and you'll get it soon. How long does it take to transport anyway? 2 weeks? I'm hoping it's well on its way to you
 
Our DS claims to talk to the "logistics" group daily. The car is supposed to be marked for high priority transport (to get here before we start a family vacation).

On Monday, I plan to start escalating this if we don't get confirmation of transport.

Since they've accepted our money, and have effectively also taken over our S P85 trade-in (since it no longer shows up on our Tesla Account or smartphones), it's unreasonable for them to be holding the car for transport this long.

The layoffs may not be helping. While Musk stated the layoffs were not impacting the Model 3 production team - it appears some of the delivery specialists were laid off - and that could be making deliveries more challenging.

What we're hoping is that our X left the factory last week - and the problem is that the status updates we've been getting are incorrect.

Stay tuned... All will be forgiven after we get our X, assuming it doesn't have any problems preventing us from accepting delivery...

We're entering Day 8 of our Model X Hostage Crisis. Hoping to get confirmation it was put on a transport late last week - and that we'll get to pick it up in the next few days.

A couple of interesting things happened yesterday.

Late afternoon, the new X showed up on our smartphone apps. The app would try to connect and fail, and then show a warning that Mobile Access Disabled. After a few hours, the X disappeared.

Late last night, our Tesla Account page showed a section labelled "Accept Delivery", where we could confirm that we've received the car. This morning, that section has disappeared.

We're hoping the combination of the above brief changes, coupled with our paperwork sent to us overnight last Thursday indicates the X has left the factory - and on its way to us.

If our DS indicates our X is still sitting at the factory or can't give us a more accurate status of where our X is right now, I'll escalate this, since they've had our money since last Tuesday, and we should be able to get more information on where our X is located - and when we'll be able to pick it up...
