Yeah, my guess is that there has been 5-10% cancellations already and maybe 10-15% more cancellations later (before they need to confirm) as some back out (ie, had multiple reservations, ended up getting the Model S, or finances changed, etc). What are your thoughts?

We just jumped back in the queue. (We originally had P1 in Canada but gave it up thinking we would not be ready for another big Tesla in 2014). Now with the delay, we decided that my wife needs her very own Tesla and the Model X is the right fit for her usage. So here we are again.

will do, let me look for the paperwork/email... and i think i'm gonna be putting in my order for the model S pretty soon.. my wife is gonna get the big battery, so i'm probably gonna go with the 60..
Dave - Remember at the end of 2012 Tesla sent out an email to all (I think) Model S reservation holders saying, 'if you put up the cash, you can jump the line'. I think that was postulated to be cancellations or indecision by people as they were asked to confirm and Tesla didn't want to miss Q4 numbers by a lot. My guess is this time around there will be fewer cancellations for those reasons, but if Model X starts out at $10k+ more than the equivalent Model S, they'll be some drops based on economics. I ain't gonna be one of those, I am heading the opposite way - we have a 24XX P reservation and are on the waiting list for a Signature reservation. I'm betting on a few drops to work up to the Sig.
