Wiki Model Accessories Mega List / Cheat Sheet

I have compiled a list of all the Model Y accessories that I find useful, to possibly save other members the hours of research I’ve done, and lessons learnt from accessories that either did or didn’t work well on my M3.

I haven’t included items that I think are pointless, such as the screen protector, which is not necessary for protection on a screen that can’t be dropped, and not necessary for cleaning as the screen is very easy to clean with a dry microfibre cloth, and also not necessary for preventing reflections as I’ve had no issues with reflections at all.

If anyone has any suggestions for decent accessories then please share them, if I buy any of them I’ll add them to the list.

1. Tesla key fob: Model 3/Y Key Fob - Makes opening frunk and unlocking charge port much more convenient, also acts as a keycard even if fob battery runs out, meaning you don’t need to carry a keycard.

7. Jack pads: Jack Pads for Tesla – Tessories - Essential if you have a jack without a large rubber saddle.

Yes! I look forward to @teaston's review when it is fitted. It looks good and is very reasonably priced. It should work with either interior colour because all seat-backs are black.

Are you happy with the white seats and the dashboard? I have a black and white interior Y on order but am not sure about the white strip.
The vinyl stick-on looks a bit tacky ( no pun intended) to me.

That's sound 'man-logic' if ever I heard anyway! That said, I'm not sure I could use the extra cost of a trunk carpet to convince the other half to sell a week after we collected ha-ha!

What sort of M3 accessories are also compatible with the Y?

I have bought all of the above, except for the boot side storage bins, they are a great accessory but I store some longe items in there for work, so I wouldn’t be able to put the lids on.

I haven’t received the retractable cargo cover yet, will make comment on it when it arrives. Others have fitted ones from AliExpress and are happy with it though.

1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 15, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23 & 24 are also compatible with M3

I’m not sure it will do anything, as it’s just a thin textile cover.

White seats are great, look good and should keep the interior cooler in summer. I recommend putting leather sealant on them straight away though, doing so prevented any blue jeans transfer from permanently staining my M3 seats.

I would love the powered frunk, but over £500 for the parts is just crazy money imo.

WARNING!!

Have you tested that child seat protector you listed? I had one that looked identical to the one you listed which actually transferred prominent black marks onto our white seats after a few weeks use which never fully cleaned up. It was that non-slip backing that did all the damage and it left a black chequered pattern on the seats. It was horrific! So I would be extremely wary of using any black rubberised child seat protector on white Tesla seats.

After I discovered this issue I used a soft white cotton towel underneath the child seat instead. That worked fine.
