I was in the Christchurch service Center last week and a ‘delivery’ specialist there told a couple their Model Y would be arriving within 3 weeks even though their estimated date was November. He said a large amount had been allocated to the South Island meaning recent orders would get theirs sooner than estimates.

Same - Ordered 1st day 11am - grey RWD - no VIN yet. Interesting to know that a ship with Model Y arrived Auckland on 28/07.

I received two emails on the 4 July, first was a vehicle assigned one with VIN, then later the same day the final invoice. late July a text and email came to book a delivery day. The delivery dates started on the 5th Aug, however by the time I was notified the 12th was the earliest I could get for AKL.

Has anyone asked if there will ever be an official tow bar option for the Y? I know you can get them fitted here but it would be nice to have the software support.

Yes they have and it'll be introduced next year sometime and be available to retrofit.

Take that with however much salt you like tho

My brother received his Model Y today white with black, order was 10th June just before mid-day.

When I picked up a Y from the Christchurch service centre on Wednesday they told me it was for a braked trailer
