The Nokian hakka studded tires are by far and away the best winter tires for safety, if there is ever any ice or packed snow where you live. In pure powder there is comparable performance from stuck, but in regards to slipping on cornering or stopping distance there’s really nothing to think about.
Southern Ontarians, can't have studded tires but liked my hakkas on my previous cars

It is connected to wifi, maybe the 12/13 thing has something to do with FSD or maybe its a performance/lrawd?
I see the US guys complaining about 2020.24.x.x in the user interface section. That is the version that gives you the ability to swipe sideways on the BU camera screen to see your side camera. I dont have that function yet.
That is something my wife really wants. Loves the 360 camera on our old Volvo, so wants this feature

The Hakka R3 fit the Model Y. These would be the ones to get. Will wait to see what Tesla offers but will probably be Pirelli.
The r3 T rated or the r3 suv R rated? Have you run tires not in the correct speed rating for a vehicle before? Is that a concern since the factory tires are ‘V’ rated. There also appears to be a weight rating drop when you go 20 over 19. Maybe I have to find a really light set of 19” tires and go with the 255-45-19 for winter after all.

The R3 have a regular and SUV T rating. I worry less about speed rating in winter I focus more on traction and snow performance so load rating is what I ensure. It is acceptable to downgrade the speed rating for winter tires as you will be driving slower and in colder temperatures. I think you want to ensure to stay to at least a Q rating.

Maybe but I got a call 3 days ago saying what all documents I have to bring with me for delivery, I think the car is here but the plates aren't.
Ya I made all payments, signed all docs, sent all proofs (license, insurance etc.) Then when I picked up it was a walk around for defects / damage, get the cards, small chit chat, close out the delivery giving me car access and off I went. No confirmation of any paperwork or anything. Come to think of it, I don't even think I proved I was who I was LOL.

After you signed all documents and sent back, did they reach out to confirm the delivery time or did you just use what was listed online in your account? I have one SA for MVPA and financing and a different person for delivery. I finalized all my financing, etc today and sent scanned documents back. Online it is still showing my delivery date as tomorrow morning but the financing SA said the delivery SA would reach out to confirm date of delivery. But it's Sunday night so I don't think anyone is working so I have no idea if I am to go pickup tomorrow or not. Did they confirm the delivery date and time after you sent back all final paperwork?

I didnt make any payments except for the one that we have to pay when reserving the vehicle.
I was told to bring the cheque for the down payment, a void cheque for monthly payments, my DL and proof of insurance.
I'm hoping they will contact me tommorow.

If they dont call you, you should definetly call before you go.
Even if I had to pick up my car tommorow I would call and go, heard they are making people come back the next day because of no plates.

Apparently you can bring a cheque in Toronto and Montreal but Ottawa, since its not a sales center but a service center, requires all payments to be made prior to arriving.

Just placed an order tonight! LR AWD Black on Black Induction. Montreal. Do I have a chance for next month delivery? Really don't wanna wait until September. Filled out all steps and waiting for contract.

Fremont has slowly started to ramp up the production of Black Model Ys, but they haven’t been producing the config that you ordered as much (which is also the same config I ordered back in March 2020). From the Black Model Y thread and Model Y subreddit, I’ve probably seen about 5-7 deliveries of this config (all in the US).

I’m hoping more of this config will be produced in the next few weeks, so I can take delivery sometime in July.

Not sure this is the same across all cities, but being in Ottawa and a new TESLA owner, it appears the protocol to wave at other TESLA owners, similar to what I used to do on my motorcycle, is a thing.

Just a heads up for those new to TESLA in Ottawa. Is this universal?

As expected, No call, Email or atleast a message to let me know about my vehicle postponement.
Good that I logged in into my account to see the date change, otherwise I would have had to drive 80 kilometers for nothing.

Disappointed with the service already, before even taking my first Tesla

It's amazing how different experiences can be with TESLA. It obviously comes down to the last mile (sales/service center) and because of his, the impression can swing either way so easily.

I'm not sure if TESLA has a delivery specialist or not, but if not they really need to create that department to collect the data of each encounter and continue to improve using the feedback.
