Surely if we’ve selected a desired pick up venue from the choice of 2 I was given when completing the earlier tasks they can’t now turn around and say you car is here, pick it up from Southampton or you loose it and go back in the queue!

Re: registrations. At what point are you assigned the number plate? If they offered the car on Feb 28 and you said put it back a week till I collect would it really come with a 2022 plate at the point or are you picking up a 2021 plate unless you give up the VIN and take a whole new car?

15 days in December 2021 for my current M3 between number plate and delivery.

Tusker (lease co) have confirmed I should be contacted by Tesla to arrange delivery soon. Being impatient I called earlier today and was told I couldn’t book yet but I would be offered blue water when the time comes and delivery will be end of Feb/March. I questioned why I couldn’t pick up from Cambridge as this is closer (I’m in norwich) and they said it had to be done outside due to covid. Have others heard this? I certainly won’t be driving to Southampton and don’t really fancy two Dartford crossing and and 5 hour round trip!

As expected. And they're not bothered about location change! I suppose delaying it further has a potential downside which is losing OZEV grant if this is the first EV. And as such installers will be very busy anyway if applications don't go in now. So in the end it may very well be the same numbers wise. Honestly, will a number plate change really make a drastic difference in terms of residual value?

Except the lucky few south of the Watford Gap don’t even want what they’ve been offered (for understandable reasons) where I do want their cars assuming one of them is in blue! Not a great allocation system. Still have heard nothing from Tesla and no VIN in the source code.

Great, so I’ll I have to faff about with setting up the account. Apparently the car won’t show in it until I collect as it’s ordered via a lease co.

If you collect your car from the 1st of September up 2021 up to the 28th of February 2022 you will get a 71 plate.... 1st of March to 31st of August and it will be a 22 plate.

Nothing to do with the VIN. The date of first registration will dictate the plate. ie, if you told them you would collect the car on the 28th of February 2022, they will assign you a 71 plate but if for some reason you miss your appointment dont collect the same car until the 1st of March it will then be on a 22 plate. The car is not registered until you are there/have it delivered and sign it off. They can assign you a 22 plate in February if your collection/delivery won't happen until March.

You can cancel any financial agreement within 14 day cooling off period. After that you may have to apply in writing.

I'm pretty annoyed that it looks increasingly likely I will get a 22 when I want asap and there doesn't seem to be a mechanism to trade VINs/deliveries. Also annoyed that it seems like - one person in Glasgow excepted - this is a south half of England only launch in southern locations. Especially as I got my order in within 20 minutes. My Model S PCP contract ended November and I'm desperate for my Y, plate is not an issue

I am actually pretty annoyed Tesla thinks we will take a 21 car , when the new plate is out 9 days later. Can’t even hold out for the 7 days as still be February. I’ve waited a long time to buy a Tesla, I can wait a little longer. In fact my words are restrained as I would be moderated. They must think we are a bunch of over excited kids like someone already mentioned. Be really funny if we all rejected. Let the lease companies have them.

I think you have a certain amount of time with grace supercharging - can’t remember if its 24 hours?

There is a grace period and I think you are correct supercharging will work (gratis) in the first 24 hours.

Loch Fyne Oysters - 2 Tesla Destination Chargers and 1 Evolt, 22kW with 2 sockets. Guarantee it's there.
Also looks like the Welsh delivery event is an Oyster Restaurant
The location at Loch Fyne, in Scotland is bizarre. No decent sea food in Glasgow?
