Kind of regret this as they're valid for 90 days and due to the delays, will expire before the my EDD..
I've been told that it shouldn't be the case, but I'm still afraid that refreshing the agreement, even if it keeps my agreed rate, will still ding my credit score a second time...
This is also what I've heard and why I've wanted to hold off a while since my EDD is way more than 90 days away. I don't want it to expire then I have to go through the entire thing again

I’ve just done the application as soon as possible after order as I’m financing through Tesla. This is my second Tesla and the first was a short EDD. I’ve done it early this time to lock in the internet rate in case it goes up (quite possible).
I thought I recognised the name too... I remember seeing you on Frizzy DB, collecting from Manchester. My EDD falls within yours so we might even be collecting from the same batch/same day.

Just wondering how long those that are doing PCP/Loan are waiting till they get their finance agreement sorted? Straight away? Waiting till you have your VIN?...

My EDD is November 12 - December 27 and since it's going through my company, I'm holding out till our year-end (August 31st) before applying for finance so that we at least have another year's accounts to put me in a better position.
I ordered end April and then took out a personal loan from end May based on a EDD of June...how naive I was! So now paying off a loan for a car I don't have...I guess the advantage was I locked in a decent interest rate at 2.99%...suspect interest rates have gone up since then

Not sure about it hitting your credit score multiple times. I’ve read once the offer expires, if you then leave it until you have an actual delivery date, reapplying just checks your details then defaults to the original interest rate.
Who knows? This is Tesla……

I guess some leasing co. snatched up a good amount of Q2 deliveries and had to take a couple weeks to allocate them. Seems to be a change from letting Tesla handle all deliveries/allocations with the end-user directly. They could probably count them as sales for Q2 if they did the handover by 30/06.
Maybe that also explains why none showed up on Tesla new inventory page..

Hopefully direct orders will be prioritised for Q3 now... 🤞
They told me they have 300 model Y’s ordered 150 being delivered direct from Tesla and the other 150 in a yard To be delivered by their delivery partner

Oh man, that sucks! Out of interest, was this a bank loan? If so, who with?
Yes. It was cheaper than the loan offer with Tesla which I think was 3.99% at the time. Its with MBNA who were competitive at the time although looks like their rates have crept up a bit. I found them through Money Saving Expert which has all the info you need including the best loan rates currently available https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/personal-car-loans/

I guess at the end of the day if you've put the loan monies onto a savings account, it will balance out... but I understand the feeling of having a monthly reminder that your car is still delayed...
Yes it's not a complete disaster as it means I pay the loan off earlier. And as you say money has gone into savings in the meantime. I imagine I could freeze payments too if needed until car comes but suspect that would impact credit score. The lesson learnt is not to rely on EDDs and maybe wait until receive VIN to lock in.

Hi all, has anyone experienced this with a lease order (specifically Lex), please?

I contacted Tesla to enquiry about joining the mythical cancellation list, and after giving my RN got the following reply:

Which suggests Tesla are waiting for Lex and as such my order is currently on hold?

TIA for any assistance.
This is EXACTLY the response I keep getting from Tesla. Mine's through a Lex broker, Rivervale - Lex say everything is in order, Tesla say they're waiting for a written confirmation that everything is okay to proceed. I have an RN. The broker says that Lex never provide written okays, they are also frustrated that Tesla never give out accurate information - I assume that it'll all work itself out in the end. As long as that end hurries up lol.

Does anyone know a bank which will lend car loan for Tesla of approx 40K. I have Tesla PCP @ 4.90% but wondering whether any bank will lend at a competitive rate. I have seen offers for 25K to 30K, but not 40K. Any pointers will be appreciated.

Update today from lease company -

Your new TESLA MODEL Y HATCHBACK Long Range AWD 5dr Auto - Metallic - Deep blue is due to arrive at the dealership approximately 25/11/2022.

I did speak to Tesla yesterday and they said it was expected between Aug - Sep (Available to match from 1st of July) I'll take Tesla response over the lease company!

I’d recommend Forza Finance, who are a specialist vehicle finance broker. Give them your problem and they’ll find a solution.

I financed the MY through them (PCP) with Santander and got a much more sensible GFV leading to monthly repayments dropping by hundreds compared to Tesla’s PCP.
