I have a P85D and would absolutely recommend going with the 85D in this case. The P part isn't worth the money. But I think AWD and AP are worth going with the 85D of the P85.

What I think your missing (or I am) they say it goes with the car. Correct. so, buying it with unlimited the car keeps the unlimited if I sell it.

They only extended the window to all new and cpo to come with unlimited for 2 weeks past 1/1 because of the demand. After that the cars will no longer come with unlimited

I guess that just shows Teslas communication problems. Major EV news sites are reporting one thing as communicated to them by higher ups and sales folks are reporting something else.

What do you mean by a range extender? Like a gasoline engine ala the BMW i3? There is no such thing for a Tesla.

Nope they do offer it on 85D cars gives about 6% more range for 3k

Ohh you mean the 90 upgrade. yeah generally its not worth it, unless there is a frequent trip you make that would be right on the edge of the 85s range, then it might be worth it.

Correct but was not sure if it had any performance along with it. I know the p90D is a good amount faster than the p85D

I'd go with the 85D also, but I have no experience yet. As you know from another thread, I paid around $1500 more than you for a similar car except mine has the cold weather package and 4,000 less miles. My DS told me today the pre delivery checklist is completed and now it's en route to NY! I potentially could have it in 2 weeks.

We went back to the 85D 2015 because of newness awd that the car offers.

If money ends up coming in stronger then we may lose the deposit and get the P85D.
