FWIW, I own both an SR+ and Performance and I can’t tell a difference in the ride quality. Both the 18s and 20s will curb just as easy. As for the suspension being lowered, we are talking about a half an inch or something so you can’t even tell.

Ice and salt destroy our roads here so the 20 inch wheels will be bent frequently and will get a flat tire with the thin sidewalls probably once a month between December and March. Also half an inch of ground clearance can make a difference when you have snow/slush on the ground.

You buy a set of 18" winter wheels and tires on TMC for about $1500 total. And a floor jack for about $70 so you can swap them yourself. Problem solved.
