All of you saying you don`t care about new console, headlight, heated wheel etc i agree with you, but once you decide to SELL your vehicle those upgrades WILL count !
And a lot ! And if you know they are coming soon i don`t understand why you don`t wait couple of more weeks
Just got delivery of my LR AWD, no new lights. It just gives me month and year for build date: 02/21.
you can see the round projector beam on the outside.
Hello there! First reply - may we know your VIN? ___XXX?
My new LR AWD Y is on its way - went through Prius gen III, Prius Plug-in, Nissan LEAF and Chevy Bolt over 14 years.
VIN is 118XXX - would love to get the new lights!
Thanks!!
Thanks - we are narrowing it down! Still a (slim) chance! My vin is in the 117 range
And if you keep on waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, you'll get the new structural batteries, the high precision build from Texas Gigafactory, actual working FSD, etc.... It's like trying to time a stock to buy at the top!
Don't forget that we're still missing some fundamental economy car features that one day may show up and justify further waiting, such as blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic monitor, ventilated seats, 360 top-down camera, auto wipers with a real rain sensor, and CarPlay!
You already took delivery? I have a 115 vin which left the factory of 1/30 according to my advisor. Still waiting to pick it up (this Saturday). Our Y was manufactured January 31st with VIN 116xxx, and none of the other Ys that arrived the same day had the new headlights either even with VIN 120xxx. VINs aren't used up in order, so the more important item is probably manufacture date that can be found above the QR code sticker (before it's removed for delivery).
Your Y is performance or no? Lools like tesla is doing the same thing as model 3. Only model 3 performance get the new headlight for now.Our Y was manufactured January 31st with VIN 116xxx, and none of the other Ys that arrived the same day had the new headlights either even with VIN 120xxx. Sorry, forgot to mention that our Y that we accepted and none of the other Ys were performance. It did come with 2020.47.101.1, which is the same software that some Model 3s are getting delivered now also with heated steering wheel enabled.Your Y is performance or no? my friend got his mid december with the new headlights on the model 3. his was the cheapest oneI thought all 3s were showing up with the new headlights. On the 3 forums, people reporting new lights from end of December on a range of 3s including non-performance. I imagine cause they ship the 3s to Europe vs the Y has stayed in North America.
I’m curious what the new lights look like in the road. Not what they look like on the car.
it starts off staggered. Then, there's a point where it's fully transitioned and shows on Tesla website. Can anyone confirm this happened with the 2021 Model 3 - staggered release of the new upgrades, some cars got center consoles, some got new headlights. Or did they just start building all with new headlights and consoles heated wheel?
