Overall, amazing car. I've posted elsewhere about all the great stuff. Just a few questions:
- the Tesla app isn't unlocking the car about half the time. I use android, galaxy S7 and leave the app and bluetooth always on. I usually have to shutdown the app and reopen, or I can use the card to unlock and then the app seems to work.

- noises when the car is off? first noted an intermittent whine near the front. Left family in the car to run into a store and they heard that from inside, and then a louder clank??

- vibrations of the steering column plastic. Seems all new Teslas have some little thing like this, easily fixed by service center but wondered if others had same issue.

- Passenger window(s) rolling down all by themselves? Three times I have come back to the car to find the passenger window(s) all the way down! (front twice, and front and rear once) Now as I leave I watch them, have not seen it happen in person.

I wear my card in a lanyard around my neck with my work security badge since my Android phone "key" is not working reliably. It gets the job done for now. I'm sure Tesla will improve the software over time to make it work better. In the meantime, that's how I solve the problem...

Our most recent upgrade to 2018.10.5 fixed the louvers from constantly opening and closing behind the front bumper. It also seemed to fix the loud clank coming from the rear axle.

Had this happen on my X, it has something to do with the window regulator. They can try to adjust the sensitivity (it senses somethung is blocking the closure, so it opens back up). They replaced a part for me and it was fixed.

Only issue I’m having after the first week is the phone app running on my Galaxy S7 not unlocking the car reliably. Called Tesla support and they suggested rebooting the car software stack by holding both scroll wheels down for a few seconds. We will see if that helps. Don’t know if the issue is with the Samsung S7 or the Bluetooth on the car. I asked if this was a common problem and they said no.

Took delivery on Friday with 2018.10 and got an invitation to upgrade to 2018.12.1 Saturday morning. Rescheduled for early Sunday morning since I was leaving for a road trip.
So far not a single problem and the the quality of the car was excellent. No panel gaps or any issues I could find. Have a Samsung Galaxy S8 and it has worked just fine.

Delivery specialist recommended charging the car to 90%. Is that what everyone else is hearing. I know in the past Elon mentioned 80% but the delivery specialist said with the current battery chemistry and battery management system Tesla was now recommending 90%.

My M3. After one month and 1.5k miles. There are no bugs, no noticable panel gaps, no strange noises other than the usual EV sounds. No wind noise, road noise subsides as tires break in. Everything works fine, just as my model S did before I sold it. This is not a coincidence, this car performs flawlessly. The owners I communicate with all report the same thing. No fanboy here and no stock agenda. At my age I have driven about every car and pickup truck out there, the M3 is superior at any price.
