Just got a Push notification that a new software update is available.... Is this 7.0?
It's a big update. Says it requires an hour and a half to download. Here we go. . .
It always gives 1 1/2 hours .. used to be 2 hours.
.250 is the likely version.
Surely Elon would have a press conference if 7.0 was coming out.
I got mine earlier this week and it was just .249
New Software Update Available....
When you get the update notice it has already been downloaded. The time stated is for installation, and it's the same for all releases. It frequently takes far less time.
Yes. Actually just took around ten minutes. My first update so I guess I was over-excited.
Where do you go to see what the update was for?
No worries. Your car just improved while it sat in your garage. It is exciting!
Touch the Tesla "T" on the topic the 17 screen, then release notes. The notes are often NOT updated for point releases, which generally means just bug fixes.
I got an update, but it was .249
I'm on .245, have an update pending, since apparently it's nothing important, I postponed it till later tonight.
I just got .250 this morning. I got the notification that it was ready to install, instructed the car to I install "now", it started the 2 minute countdown to begin installation, I closed the door and walked away to let it do its thing. Car was plugged in at home and on my wifi. Came back a half hour later to check. Got in the car and all controls were unresponsive. The car was "hung". Tried to reboot the usual way, no response. Tried to put it into Drive and got a driver display warning message that the car needed a software update and I should call Tesla Service. Hmm... Went back inside to get my phone so I could call service while sitting in the car. Came back a few minutes later to discover error message was gone. Controls now responded to me. Put it in Reverse and backed up, then I. drive and pulled forward. All seems to be normal.
That's why I just let updates install overnight.
Installed the update overnight and it says .249.
Didn't it advise that it would take an hour and a half (or something) to update and that you couldn't use the car during that time?
What was the software update for? Any improvements or changes?
