New Wheels for MS -- 21" Sonic Carbon Twin Turbine

When I ordered them I didn’t realize there was so many differing opinions on these until I got to this thread today! Either way I really like them on my new 75D (took delivery Wednesday night). Not overly familiar with the old ones either, as this is my first Tesla (finally!). Maybe they do look a bit more ‘delicate’, but I personally like the look. Here’s two pics of mine for anyone interested.

See they look great on your color because they match perfectly. I just don’t know about black. I talked to my delivery specialist and they can swap the wheels for the silver finish but it’s a process since they need to be ordered from the Tesla store. He said he can do it for their cost so I wouldn’t be paying much more. Tough call

Saw both 21" rims side to side. The new twin turbine wheels look better to me. I got my MS 100D delivered to me three days ago and they mistakenly gave me the older 21" turbines. Tesla will exchange to new ones. BTW the center caps don't look cheap to me.

Original turbines on a blue MS 5 months ago...
And New twin turbines on a red MS today...

Tough call. Both look impressive!

Yea I’ve been debating and I finally saw them in person and I do like them. Especially with red calipers. They are new and although the original turbines are nice, they are dated and these new wheels give the car a fresh look without going aftermarket which to me just isn’t right on a $100,000 vehicle. I see all these aftermarket wheels and most remind me of a ‘tuner” car which just isn’t this vehicle. Just my opinion.

Ok question.... was at the service center today and they had 5 cars all with the new twin turbine rims... 3 100ds and 2 75ds..

ALL of them had staggered set ups... 235s in the front and 265s in the back....

I asked the sales folks and they did not know... are the new 21s automatically staggered??? or was it just an incredible coincidence that all 5 of the cars there were the same?

even the pics above are staggered

Where did you get the chrome deleted tint. Looks awesome. What product did they used? Heard mixed reviews on vinyl wraps, specially in Arizona. Thanks for pic.

I went to SWAT Motorsports here in Las Vegas, been using them for wheels, wraps, tints and even stereo installs since 2009.

Can't comment on wrap durability yet, this will be BATTCAR's first Vegas summer!

I'm not sure if I believe those numbers. It's just too coincidental that the 21x9 wheels would weigh the exact same as the older turbine 21x8.5 at 35.2. I think they kinda just took a guess.

If it is accurate, it would be nice to have the 21x8.5 weight as well.

Either way, I'm not super happy with any choices out there. I want a 20x8.5 and a 20x9 set of wheels that weigh around 23 lbs and are super strong and can handle offroading/speedbumps and potholes at speed. I want to put Pilot 4S tires on it and get more sidewall than 21's can provide.
