No Sirius in new 2021 Yoke S

Chatted with Tesla today 6/16/21 and confirmed that the new S does not have Sirius anymore. As others have pointed out, if you are in an area with no cell phone coverage you have no radio. I have no idea why Musk hates Sirius so much, but the slam that Teslas are California cars is so true. No Sirius. No spare tire. Definitely not a good car to buy if you travel in most western states or even most of Texas.

Since I have a lifetime paid subscription to SiriusXM, that would be a definite issue for me. Using my phone to send Sirius to the car just isn't convenient, and changing channels is fully manual thru the phone. Why doesn't Tesla produce a list of standard and optional features of each of their models?

Not sure if he’s right, the sale stickers defiantly showed it as included. I’d wait to see if a software update adds it in..

The parts book says that the FM tuner includes XM, but it doesn't appear to currently be enabled. It may be another one of the pieces of software that isn't done just yet.

I hope you realize that not everyone needs to have the radio blaring away mile after mile, either as white noise or to generate a distraction from the drive. I never have the radio on when I'm in the car and "sirius-ly" don't want it. I'd rather visit with my wife. If I ever do turn it on, I play albums I have on my phone because I think radio is just a bunch of noise. If I'd wanted noise, I'd have bought a BMW.

I do have a Plaid, it was delivered last Thursday. I posted my Monroney sticker which clear shows the hardware. It is not currently enabled. There are a couple of other features in the same boat.

omarsultan, most new cars with the Sirius option come with a free subscription for a few months. Can you try and enable it so these people here will know if it works or not? That shouldn't be to hard for you to do and I'm sure some here would appreciate it.​

Yup--the owners manual has a disclaimer at the start of that section stating it might initially be unavailable.

I use Sirius XM in my Model 3 using my phone connection. It works fine and my lifetime subscription is fine too. I did that on my P85D too, since I did not want to pay for another SXM subscription.

I have a S LR on order. My Tesla Advisor told me (for what it is worth) that Sirius XM would not be available. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but means missing out on a useful feature in areas without good cell service.
