Maybe both at the same time? Doesn't make as much sense to do one and not the other, unless one is not even close to ready.OK, here is my unexpected prediction: a Heads Up Display option for the Model S/X.
My second guess is AP 2.0 retrofit for existing Model S/X.
The general public is not expecting AP 2.0 they think it's 10 years off and that autopilot is the devil... at least that's the impression I get from general newsmedia.So... everyone expects AP2.0. I thought it is supposed to be something that most people wouldn't expect.
I wouldn't even expect a date since that would lock expectations. I'm thinking more of a generality like "Late 1st Quarter 2017" if anything.I think a part of the 17th announcement will include timing for M3 part two & Model Y SUV reveal tease (a date - not the reveal itself) since the low end Model X was discontinued almost concurrently.
The meat of the 17th announcement will be continued evolution of S/X platform as the luxury flagship (now @ 160K out-the-door) until the new Roadster appears.....oh, maybe....just maybe!

Tesla OS Interface is 8.0. I think the autopilot 2.0 is mainly referring to the updated hardware with associated software changes.AP 2.0? I thought they're already on AP 8.0...
Oh no. That would not be good.Does that mean we can get bumper stickers that say "The Devil is my autopilot"? I'd pay money for one of those!
