Octopus Energy Saving Sessions

Does anyone know how the Octopus ”Power Hour” energy saving sessions are actually calculated?

I’ve taken part in all of them, but the results just seem totally random.

I’ve had sessions where we’ve switched off as much as we can and gone out, only to be told that we didn’t manage to save anything.

Some sessions, we’ve made very small savings, Including one where virtually everything was switched off and the whole family was in another country.

One session I forgot it was happening despite signing up, only to be told I’d managed to save 93% of my normal usage and be credited with over £16 off!

I’ll continue to sign up for them and don’t really do it expecting to save much as we are already quite energy efficient. It all just seems so random.
 
Where does it take you to in official octopus app?

Is it possible to manually create an app link such as where a notification might take you to?

I’ve been down official app route in the past (from its notifications) and used official app to sign up, but for quite a while now, even knowing that a session is pretty much confirmed from chatter on here, I get no notification and even manually accessing official app takes me nowhere useful - just to results of previous sessions.

You go to the Octoplus section and the Opt-in button is there when it's live.

Just had a couple of the 100 Streak Bonus OctoPoints reach my account (2nd and 8th Feb events).

Only three more of those to go plus the missing 200 from 12th/14th Dec!
I took part in every Saving Session, but never received streak bonus points. Are they automatic? If so I guess I should contact Octopus. (I don't have export, don't know if it makes a difference)

Seems National Grid ESO have reacted to my email about their missing settlement figures.
If you just received their email/SMS notification about Utilisation Summary Report the half-hourly figures in essence are:

2nd Feb 17:00–18:00
200 MW requested each, 161+157 MW procured, 246+228MW settled

8th Feb 18:00–19:00
175 MW requested each, 178+179 MW procured, 183+186MW settled
