Okay. Bring out your voodoo dolls and your angry curse words. Your superstitions. Go ahead. I'm just going to say it. After all these years and the trials and tribulations we've been through together, I think we've reached the tipping point where even POETRY will not stop us. In fact, poetry will back us up and lead our charge!
As a life long artist (yes, I made my living from my artwork- and earned my license- go ahead and laugh) turned investor, and having run the gauntlet with so many of you, I hereby say to you all; Bring on the Poetry! Oh my dear friends, I've waited so long for this. Go ahead; try and track me down and stop me. In this ethereal inter web, you'll never find me. Haha! :p

All I ask is that you think of Elon Musk as you read this.
You're welcome.

If—

Rudyard Kipling - 1865-1936

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build ’em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on”;
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings—nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run—
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

But you must consider:
If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs then YOU do not understand the situation...

(I love that Kipling poem but I am opposed to poetry on this thread. Especially vogon poetry)

Zero question she makes Twitter mistakes. My own experience there made me quit Twitter. Still, I judge her by her research nit by her tweets. She has pro-Tesla tweets too, I’m told. I agree with you that her tweets raise issues. She ought to censor her thoughts before writing. For that matter I really wish Elon would stop Twitter F we judge him by that we might well think he’s a poor choice also.
Then judge this paper which was published, removed, edited, and reposted:
Wayback Machine
Which includes the pile on false narrative that the Texas crash had no driver.
The recent crash of a Tesla that resulted in the death of two people because neither was in the driver’s seat highlights the importance of linking vehicle control to effective driver monitoring [29].
And her attack on Lex (research related tweet)...

My MY with FSD and Acceleration Boost was recently totaled. My insurance company does not want to cover it since it is only a software addon. And as noted above, we know Tesla is unwilling to transfer the license from one car to another. So I am sitting here holding the bag on $12k worth of accessories for my car unless I file a civil case with the person that hit me to try to recoup the loss. This experience has certainly made me strongly consider if I want to pay for FSD on my replacement vehicle or any vehicle in the future until insurance companies catch up and place a value on software or Tesla decides that I am just buying a software license for one seat. Not presently very happy.

Sorry for the OT this will be it for me:

That is my back and forth with them right now. Their "Customizations" portion of the policy is for physical hardware from third-parties and not OEM options, and certainly not software ones. They have a defined pick list of what type of customization and software is not one of them. I have also noted the the MYP is mostly software enhancements and that they cover that above the base value of a standard MY Dual Motor. We will see how it goes.

The problem is your car was insurered for the original sales price/ replacement value. Adding FSD increases the basis by 10k or so, this would need the policy to be ammended with a correspondingly higher payment.
Buying the next car with FSD as original equipment would mostly avoid this issue.

Congrats to Meadow and wishing her the best life ahead. Everyone knows the story I think but recalling the fiery death of her father and others who die needlessly in ICE vehicles needs a remedy along with wildfires sparked by faulty catalytic converters. We need an agency that looks at facts and avoid the political gibberish.

Understand the sentiment, but being an ICE vehicle was not the primary cause, just like Teslas being electric did not cause the deaths in Texas. Going too fast for conditions (100MPH) into a solid object (tree and light post) is a life limiting maneuver.
Paul Walker died after crashing at over 100mph, coroner's report reveals
Though, in the Walker case, the 9 year old tires on the car likely contributed to the loss of control.
The Truth Behind What Caused Paul Walker's Fatal Crash

I believe they burned alive due to there being gasoline in the car so whatever caused the crash is not the cause of death IMHO

17 car fires every hour

Here is a petition about an appointment that IMHO needs serious review. It is getting many signatures. I support Biden but we need to keep an eye on this.

In addition here is one person that might be affected if facts are not allowed
