Phantom braking when a car is following you.

My 2019 X, has gotten worse after the last update. No mirage, clear ahead.
Once with someone behind me forcing them into the left lane, must have thought I break checked them. Passed me, giving me a look like I was a complete idiot. It's embarrassing.

in my case it's caused by mirages - and/or - when the road is long and open but dips and the car can't "see" over the dip and is confused.

we got honked at and it's an awful feeling because other folks do think you are brake checking them or are high/ drunk.... why would you otherwise slow down in the middle of nowhere to ~50mph from going 83mph....

Phantom Braking getting worse - any ideas on how to stop it?

Happens to me a lot in Texas in my 23 M3P. Ridiculous that Tesla cannot figure this out. We have a Volvo XC90 and Nissan Rogue that has adaptive cruise control, and this never happens. It would be nice if Tesla enabled a straight up cruise control setting to avoid this. As it stands now, it’s...

Def doesn’t do that at least on basic base autopilot. I’ve had cars behind me and it’s slammed on the brakes.

You would think it should do that but nah cause that would be to logical and Tesla
