I really wanted to spot one of these in the wild here in Colorado this year. I even cheated the past few weeks and swung by the local supercherger. But alas, I feel like my mission will be a failure.

Trust me, you don't want to see one in person yet if your delivery is a year away. The car looks waaaaay better in person than in photos. The sheer physical presence of the car is overwhelming. Your one year wait will then seem like an eternity!

Kimball Musk has a blue one and lives in Boulder. Fair chance of seeing him at one of his restaurants. I keep hoping to catch a glimpse of it either up here in FoCo or Longmont.

Either way, I think I’m about 8 weeks from getting mine.

I got to see the model 3 yesterday in South Carolina. The car looks amazing I love the exterior. I am still a little in shock with the interior since I never seen anything like it. It's really simple and clean and It felt like it wasn't complete.

Between the model S and the model 3 I like the exterior look of the model 3 more since it is smaller and sportier and I think it is designed to appeal to a younger crowd. Similar to the BMW 3 series and 5 series.

I can't wait to drive one because I think that will help me seal the deal.

Thanks to You You Xue’s Model 3 road trip I was finally able to see (and sit in) a Model 3! The supercharger location was poorly lit due to the LED street lights being unable to operate properly at 13 degrees. Still I was able to manage a few ok-ish shots. Almost wish I didn’t go because actually being able to sit in it is making the wait just a bit more agonizing!

The supercharger location was poorly lit due to the LED street lights being unable to operate properly at 13 degrees. Still I was able to manage a few ok-ish shots. Almost wish I didn’t go because actually being able to sit in it is making the wait just a bit more agonizing!

You will need a keen eye because from the side and rear at 50 yards, it looks like an MS at first glance. When I first saw one in the flesh at a SuC mixed in with MS's, I thought just a bunch of MS's, but then taking a second closer look as I got closer, I thought, "wait a minute! something is totally different about that car in the middle!" It looked like a Terrier mixed in with a bunch of Poodles = all beautiful but one had an 'attitude.'

My understanding is that You You Xue (pronounced Yo Yo Sheh not Yu Yu Shu) has a California address but is also a university student In Europe and will be shipping the car to Europe as soon as he is done with his North American tour. He has hinted that he is then going to be doing a Central Europe tour...............where he will be totally mobbed at each stop!
