Seriously doubt anyone will go ahead and paint the covers. But since I'm going to be running them mainly for winter, I still don't want them to appear black. I'll probably be the first to paint them silver leaving the inner sections black.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing, though plan to use a wrap instead of paint, so I can easily change it if I don't like it.

Silver cars look like they haven't been painted. Like bare metal. One of the worst colours to get on a car imho.

if there would be an unpainted version of the car i would get it. Brushed aluminium or steel would be amazing.

A friend sent me this on Friday, taken somewhere in San Francisco. He lives in the city and is aware of Teslas, even has a Model 3 reservation. I was surprised to learn this was his first sighting, but I guess most of the employee cars have been sighted closer to Fremont and Palo Alto, or LA. He said it was dark blue or black, and obviously didn't get a VIN.

The rear end reminds me of a car I used to own, a 2011 Audi A4.

gene: Hopefully not too dark. I have a friend who had tinted windows. He was in an accident that was his fault. Someone was seriously hurt. His tint was illegal. The judge threw the book at him for negligence. His insurance company was not required to pay a single penny as they had contracted in faith with what was to be a legal vehicle, not an illegal tinted vehicle. The guy lost everything he owns and all he'll ever earn. Be careful.

It's strange, but I really am starting to fall in love with the aero wheels. Especially on this silver M3.
