the more I look at the picture, the more it looks like a smart grid tie inverter .. IMO the pic itself is not the battery pack. and IMO this inverter will be smarter than any inverter currently on the market....allowing for grid tie in but also off grid, connections for solar, wind, battery packs, etc.

Imagine if Tesla released a device to allow your car's battery pack to power your house. They said they wouldn't do this in the past, but maybe they needed more data to determine cycle effects on the battery. They already have the 100kwh storage units, but being able to access your car's 85 or 10kwh pack would be a game changer. Your house could run off that for days in an emergency. Add solar for energy independence
