Production (Non-Sig) Model X Vin #'s now being issued

I have been analyzing the model x tracker data to see how we are progressing with type of vehicle and VIN number assignment. The data below includes all of the North American Production orders that have received VIN's. It confirms what we know which is there are no standard 90D's that have received VIN numbers - just P90D and P90DL.

The good news is that it does show the time from order to VIN number assignment is steadily decreasing. The week sequence is order week over time where week 14 equates to the week of November 23. Order days to VIN is the number of days between order and VIN # assignment. It sure looks as though a P90DL or P90D that is ordered has a increasingly shorter time frame to get a VIN.

There is more to be done with this data - but this seems to confirm what we would expect to see. P90DL orders will move quickly and P90D orders are starting to move more quickly.

I hope the table below renders okay.

My P90D just went into production and my delivery specialist contacted me yesterday. He said to expect delivery in the first two weeks of February.

When I saw this post I called my DS. I confirmed earlier, have a lower sequence number and have a similar VIN. She told me, that they have to finish the sigs first and then mine will enter production. She will probably have more info in a few weeks. On the one hand, UGH. On the other... work out the bugs, I suppose :/

Strange. Seems like a lot of misinformation. As I mentioned, mid 100 production VIN and told entered production

I find it very hard to believe that they haven't finished building 1000 Sig's with over 500 produced as of the end of 2015 and a build rate of over 240/week "increasing exponentially" and we're two weeks into Jan. If they aren't done they should be done next week.

Thats what I'm saying!!!! I am picking up at the factory, as well. Maybe I'll be one of those... "Your car is ready, come get it!". It seems based on the numbers you quoted, that I should be built by end of January. So hard to extrapolate here. Like reading tea leaves. We think we know, we try to know... But so far, I have seen only randomness....

Well, remember they were shut down the first week of Jan to give the factory workers a rest and make some tweaks to the production line based on Sig QA, so this was probably the first full week of production, but I would also think they should be done with the Sigs by now. FWIW, over on the TM Forum, a poster reported his DS told him there is an issue with the 2nd row seat motors and they are trying to resolve that before they ship more cars.

What did you order? (Ludicrous?)

P90D (Production) 7-seat configuration, standard wheels, with everything except Ludicrous, Sub-Zero, and Towing.

It's all because of this: snippiness - Page 180

I know a guy...

Is this confirmed?

I'm waiting for a Sig X and I can tell you (sadly) that the Sigs are not 'done'. Mine is somewhere in production (sequence #325, VIN #006nn).
