I picked up a ‘21 MY standard range yesterday. Quality wasn’t much different than the MY I picked up for a friend when it was first released...
- wavy paint on front bumper
- obvious tear/rip/gouge on rear seat
- rear cargo shelf missing
- significant wheel shimmy/imbalance at 70mph
I personally don’t care about panel gaps unless they’re atrocious (like the early MX). This one was ok.
I know Tesla will take care of it, but it’s quite embarrassing they’d release this to a customer.
This was technically inventory with 5 miles. May have even been a reject. It has the heated steering wheel. It doesn’t have the new headlight design.
This is the 4th Tesla we’ve owned... probably the 7th or 8th I’ve picked up with family/friends.
