Anyone know if the radar is shut down completely on the visuals-only FSD?
It must take a reasonable amount of power so having it squirting energy and not using it would be silly.

Pure Visual is still not a single stack so the Highway module is still using radar for radar-equipped Tesla.

Once it becomes a single stack (maybe version 11), radars will not be used both in cities and highways.

I don’t know how much power the radar uses, but I wouldn’t assume it’s a lot. Do the radar-less Model 3 and Y have more range than the radar-equipped versions?
