Red Brake Calipers - incredible work and price!

Spence Tire was absolutely incredible...the work and attention to detail was second to none, but even better...the guys, Randi and of course Spence himself made this an amazing experience for me... Being a woman, I was treated with respect, and made to feel welcomed, and that my opinion and knowledge mattered to them. They know their products. I will be going back in the spring for more detailing work, and will ONLY use them from now on...thank you both so much...(and the Hallmark Christmas movies were a nice touch too).

Took my car in yesterday to get the calipers painted. You make the appointment online using spencetire.com. His attention to detail and level of care and passion that he has for his work is amazing. He does caliper paintings on multiple Teslas so he's got this down to a science.

I was on the fence on whether I should do this or not, and now that I've done it, I couldn't be happier. It adds a nice little touch to your car that makes it a little bit unique. I will be buying new rims when the spring rolls around and I'll also be buying those through Spence. If you're looking buy new rims, I recommend you talk to Spence when you're there getting your calipers painted. He can find and install new rims/tires for you as well.

Thanks !

Curious to see how the single integrated caliper will look repainted as Tesla seem to put a cover to mimic a 4 piston alloy cover but there is metal carrier around it.

Hopefully some one with a new 100/75D has had it done ...would love to see pics.

I would assume any alloy can be painted even if it’s a cover. Hmm...

Spectacular! What model s is your car?

I was in contact with them today - they suggested waiting to get mine done until April as this time of the year is the worst possible time to do it.

Temp and road conditions would negatively impact the paint adhesion and result in them needing to be done again.

Just a heads up for those considering getting them done in the near future.

I had mine done today at Spence Tire.

Red with reflective white lettering.

It’s amazing how the front calipers look so much bigger in red (I previously thought the P cars had bigger front calipers until I was corrected on this forum).

For the rear calipers, I didn’t get any responses on how to potentially remove the rear brake cover (new non p rear brake with integrated parking brake) so I had Spence mask up the lower cast part. The only part that was painted in the rear was the metall cover - not the lower cast part (which will get dirty fast being close to the pads and rotor - it would show more on red) I’m really happy with the results.

Great guy and open minded on my request to not paint the entire rear caliper assembly.

One of the Tesla service guys told me that painting calipers might affect warranty. Doesn’t sound right . Anyone have any issues with warranty after painting calipers

Haven’t had issues however most jobs just paint everything including that spring clip and pins at the top of the caliper - if you mask this area off I can’t see them having an issue.

Looks great! I like the reflective lettering.
