Not a lawyer, but painting calipers can slow down heat dissipation slightly and could hence lead to failure. The warranty for the calipers could be definitely compromised, but obviously not for other parts like AC.There is probably an attorney around here who can provide further guidance, but I believe that the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act prohibits them from voiding the warranty unless they can prove the modification caused the problem. It’s the responsibility of the manufacturer to prove that the modification caused the problem, not the consumer to prove that it did not.

For anyone within driving distance of Toronto Canada, Spence Tires is the goto for calipers!
Caliper Painting
He’s well knows in the Greater Toronto Area and has been painting calipers on high end cars for years. His work is excellent.
View attachment 328560 Got mine done today. Dr. Rim in Orlando. Can't believe they only charged me $120 for all 4.
Only thing is I got the parking brake in the back also painted. I know that's not the stock look from Tesla but it just looks inconsistent to me otherwise.
It would’ve been nice if they bother taping off your rotors, but that is outrageously cheap for all six calipers.
I quickly painted mine with a good brush and kit from Amazon and decals from ebay, it's been over 6 months, no issues so far:

I forgot the name of the law, but they cant void your warranty.
Stupid remark by an ill informed empolyee.
With other car companies, the problem wasn’t that they would void the warranty (which they probably couldn’t do unless you got paint inside the mechanism somehow) but they would not accept the painted calipers as a suitable core, forcing you to pay the difference between the exchange price and the buy-new price. The same was true for returning the old painted calipers to an auto parts store.
I have zero experience with Tesla on this and don’t know how/what they would do.
