many of the 50+ miles are the Q42021 "field" cars.15 is low. Many have reported 50+ miles which IMO is kinda high
I'm not into advertisements. But I do agree on your point. Aside from the looks and software tech, whomever takes a Lucid del'y will be pretty happy. And I want that 500 mile range.in case you've never seen this, aside from looks it seems like an awesome car.
Would love to have one, exceptin case you've never seen this, aside from looks it seems like an awesome car.
Jimbob909 replied to me as follows:I’m in the same situation you are, but had not noticed the increase in the cream interior price. I have been on the phone with Tesla twice today because I am changing to a home delivery. I was told I needed to pay in full before they would schedule the carrier, but the final price shown in the Tesla app did not include the $2000 credit. Now I have been told that I just have to pay within 48 hours of the scheduled delivery by the carrier and that the credit will be reflected then. I’d appreciate if you would come back and let me know what happens to the $2000 credit plus the interior price. My model X is coming in to the Decatur Georgia store on March 28 and then being shipped to Florida where I live now, so it could take a week or two. Oh shoot, I just realize they are going to want to be paid before the end of the quarter. I am anticipating a few more phone calls will be required.
A the end of the day, it's only a car. Your well being is far more important. I'm glad you made the decision.I finally threw in the towel and cancelled. Just couldn't take it anymore... Ordered back in Jan '21 the week the refresh was announced, but the long string of disappointments, reports of delivery issues, non-existent customer service, cajoled into switching to a 6 seater that I didn't want, and anxiety about new "features" (yeah, the steering wheel thing....) just finally did me in. I'm happily keeping my 2019 ludicrous X. Washed and waxed it, and actually feeling even better about my decision to get off the refresh merri-go-round!
Sorry it had to come to that! If I had an MX already, I might consider that myself. It sounds like you have an awesome MX for now. My guess is in a couple years, they'll have the range up over 400 miles and less demand than currently. You have the option down the road.I finally threw in the towel and cancelled. ok, if it's a few known spots along my usual routes and I can take over the throttle there, I can live with that. (Although, my 2016 Volvo XC60 never makes a mistake.)My experience is that phantom braking happens seldomly but when it does happen it is quite disturbing and anxiety inducing, so the issue is univerally despised by anyone who has experienced it more than once. I think the phenomenon is particularly polarizing because as avid Tesla enthusiasts we revel in our passion for all things Tesla (and of course our own superior judgement that led us to support and embrace Tesla) and when an issue that is so obviously flawed rears it's head, we bristle with frustration, confusion and anger.
One other note, I have observed that phantom braking will repeatedly happen at the exact same geographical location. After a few times, I have memorized where phantom braking will happen and I now goose the gas pedal when driving through those spots.
Great video... super fun to watch...Would love to have one, except
Way too expensive!
Not a hatchback so my bicycle won't fit....
And then also, way too expensive!
Just got a call saying I can take delivery tomorrow (or even today) if I paid first. I told them I want to see the car first. They agreed but said I can only see the outside. How did you guys get them to open the doors to inspect inside before paying?
The rep also said its safer to bring a cashier check because its a weekend? Banks may not transfer on the weekend? I have my bank account setup already on the app, you guys think its really necessary to go and get a cashiers check?

No, that’s what documentation will say. Actual Odometers are usually like 5-8 miles. So 15 miles I say is high.15 is low. Many have reported 50+ miles which IMO is kinda high
You can pay on the spot on the weekend. I paid ACH Saturday. transaction went through Tuesday (1 business day). I think they can verify funds which is all they need. They are still all the same human salesman in Delivery centers as were at Dealers.Just got a call saying I can take delivery tomorrow (or even today) if I paid first. I would never bother ordering early. There is no benefit at a all.
And did you know boomer is considered a derogatory term by millenials? Just call a millenial a boomer and see how they react, it's great fun!
Picked up the car yesterday! As everyone else mentioned, it's totally worth the wait! It's truly a great car! My impressions from the pickup experience:
1. Lost about $5,000 after being "blackmailed" by the salesperson that she would give away my VIN to someone else if I didn't pick up the car within 2 hours. This is just ridiculous because it took a day for me to process the payment. The problem here is that I had to agree with the high 5+% APR by Tesla Finance when I could wait till the next day to get 2+% APR by U.S. Bank. I didn't want to risk losing my $33,000 discount after losing the VIN, so I accepted the higher APR. The Tesla customer service is not just bad, it's on the edge of a crime.
Similar experience with my 2017 LRX... Pretty darn good at 4 years and 63,000 miles.
