Rename your Powerwall on the app

Having had our Powerwall since late January I was getting a bit annoyed that the app showed my Powerwall name as Mr W Sco***** ie my name. A genuine example of a first world problem I know…

anyway I did a search on Google about how to change the name on the app, and also searched this (worldwide ) forum but got nothing.

as it turns out it’s easy…

The name shown on the Powerwall page of the app is in white. Just place your finger on the white name, and a dialogue box opens where you can simply rename the device, and save it.

So if you want to rename your Powerwall on the app, it is really simple albeit nobody seems to tell you how to do it.

Mine has been called Backup Gateway since installation in 2019 and I just assumed that’s what they all show as in the app. Didn’t ever think to try and change it. But once you know it can be it’s hard not to….

I just renamed mine Moorcroft, which is the house name. Boring I know…but you did ask
