Does the car come with one year/four year road side assistance ? Or do we take out AA/RAC/Green flag cover ?

Tesla only covers for breakdowns caused by warrantable issues, flat tyres (max 50 miles transport if can’t be replaced at roadside), lockouts

It's probably good enough but if you want peace of mind cover is dirt cheap these days.. just got a quote from green flag for £17 a year, so about £1.50 a month.

Any form of accidental damage probably. Don't think Tesla would recover you if your windscreen was smashed or you'd hit something.

On the several times I’ve used them with previous cars I’ve always found AutoAid quick and reliable. About £60 p.a.including spouse, for the full works.

Unfortunately they don’t have a referral scheme

I kept the RAC. Two scenarios that would need a flatbed:

• A crash
• Flat tyre more than 50 miles from home, no loaner wheel available

Yes they contract out, or at least they did in my case. It took 4 hours from blow-out to pickup, so I will definitely now be getting breakdown cover.

Also the SOS button by the hazard light button rings out to 999 and not to Tesla SOS which I didn't realise!
